Feline Foundation of Greater Washington is in desperate need of people willing to foster! This organization does amazing work taking in cats, getting them veterinary care and socialization, and then finding them a loving forever home.
If you are able to be a foster, please consider joining them. The more fosters they have, the more cats they can save.

Can you help?

Our rescue has received *six* owner surrendered cats in the past 48 hours. We are a small, all-volunteer rescue that carefully budgets our resources and funds so we can save kitties in dire circumstances, often in life-or-death situations. Since it is kitten season here in Virginia, every one of our existing foster homes is full, and so we have had to close to new intakes until we can find fosters for these three bonded, adult pairs. Knowing we will have to turn away cats and kittens in life-or-death situations is heartbreaking, and so is having to house these surrendered pets in kennels at one of our partner vets because we simply have no other option.

These cats are young (2-4 years old), friendly, healthy indoor pets who have been well socialized and are up-to-date on veterinary care; in addition, we are providing vet exams and vaccine updates for all six. Their owners had extreme changes in financial or health circumstances—the cats were not returned due to poor health or behavioral issues. But they’re scared in their kennels and truly need to be fostered in homes. If you have ever considered fostering, we could really use your help so we can get these sweet sets of siblings settled and listed for adoption. Can you help??

Basic Requirements:

-Must live in or near Northern VA
-Must have transportation
-Must have a separate room for kitties if there are other pets in the home
-Must have previous experience with cats as owner, foster, veterinary employee, or petsitter
