Santa Barbara Vizsla Rescue

A South Central Coastal CA 501.c.3 group of experienced Vfolk, committed to the Rescue and thoughtfu As the need has grown, so have our Rescue efforts.

Started as a small social group of Vizsla Families in 2008, SBVLG/R has grown exponentially. Now a large group, we socialize, offer educational forums and events, have group hikes, enjoy "Vizsla Fests", and provide friendship and guidance for new Vowners or those who may be experiencing difficulties with the Vizsla-Family bond--and we have much VFUN! Recognizing the need for an active Rescue Group in our region in 2010, SBVLG began doing occasional rescues, often in conjunction with affiliate groups. Volunteer members, led by our experienced Rescue Coordinators, assess dogs in shelters or in the home setting, provide transport to pre-qualified Foster homes, arrange for private Veterinary assessments and treatment as needed, and confer with professional trainers if behavioral problems are present. Prior to adopting, all dogs have a health/temperament check, receive updated vaccines, dental and nail care, are neutered or spayed, and are microchipped. Other necessary Veterinary care is provided if at all possible. Our Foster Parents are all experienced Vizsla Moms and Dads and provide care in their homes as if the dog were their own family member (sleep outdoors? It's a VIZSLA--perish the thought!). FOR RESCUE NEEDS or to inquire about adopting a Rescue Vizsla from us, please dual-email us at:

**If URGENT, please Message Christine via the link above. We are on "West Coast Time" and phones are on 24/7; please be mindful when messaging, thanks.

Here are two wonderful Vizslas in TX. Applies directly to Viz Whizz

BONDED PAIR LOOKING FOR A HOME TYSON & JERSEY 🐾 purebred Vizslas.
📍League City, TX

Due to no fault of their own, we are looking for a new home immediately. Current on vaccines.

Meet Tyson & Jersey, two 9-year-old Vizslas who have spent their lives together and need to stay that way. Their family circumstances have changed, and they are now looking for a new home where they can continue life side by side.

Tyson is a 72 lb affectionate, enthusiastic boy who absolutely loves people. He’ll happily stand beside you for attention, loves to run and explore, and is happiest when Jersey is close. He is housebroken, crate trained, knows sit and stay, and does well with children, adults and other dogs. He is scared of fireworks, so he’ll need a secure, comforting place during celebrations.

Jersey is a 70 lb sweet, outgoing girl with plenty of personality. She’s friendly, affectionate, obedient and has a way of running the household! She is also housebroken, crate trained, knows sit and stay, and is comfortable around children, adults and other dogs.

Both dogs are well groomed, microchipped and accustomed to family life, car rides, leash walks and sharing their home together.

Most importantly, Tyson & Jersey are deeply bonded and will only be placed together. They deserve a loving home where they can spend their next chapter side by side.

If you think you could be their forever family, please reach out.
