Meet Jonah 🌊🐺

Salty air, sandy paws, and good manners 🐾 Jonah was in his element during a beach stroll with one of his advocates Deann. This handsome red & white Siberian Husky showed off his calm nature, practiced his “sit” for treats, and soaked in the peaceful rhythm of the shoreline.

Around 4 years old and 80 lbs, Jonah is independent, thoughtful, and quietly confident. He’s not the type to demand attention. He prefers meaningful connection, calm environments, and enjoying life at his own pace. Give him a structured, low-key home and he’ll reward you with steady loyalty and gentle affection.

Jonah has been waiting since October 2, 2024 (yes, he has been at the shelter over a year! 💔) and he deserves a life filled with daily walks, ocean breezes, and someone who appreciates his noble, stoic soul.

TWILA 💛🐾 (A542543)

Sand between her paws, ocean breeze in her fur, and a smile that says “why am I still waiting?”

Twila got a taste of the good life on her beach day foster and she absolutely thrived 🌊✨

This petite Shepherd/Husky mix has spent far too much of her young life in the shelter, but you’d never know it by her spirit. Twila is one of the most social pups around: gentle with dogs of all sizes, incredible at helping shy or selective dogs gain confidence, and always ready to play. If your dog needs a best friend, she’s ready for the job. 🐶🐶

True to her working-breed roots, Twila is active, smart, and would love a home with another playful dog and humans who enjoy hikes, runs, and adventures. Give her exercise, structure, and love and she’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and endless joy in return.

Apollo (A527436) is a 3-year-old German Shepherd who truly impressed during his recent day foster outing. He was fantastic in the car, very gentle taking treats, and absolutely loves to sniff and explore the world. On walks, he was calm and polite around other dogs, often laying down when he spotted one from afar or casually sniffing nearby. When another dog showed a little attitude, Apollo simply chose peace and moved away. ☮️

He will run at your pace, knows sit, stay, and come, and while he can pull a little at times, he was easy to bring back to a nice walk by your side. He’d be a great match for someone ready to provide the exercise and enrichment shepherds thrive on, while still appreciating a dog who has a wonderfully laid-back side for his age.

Apollo is looking for a foster or forever home to help him continue showing just how great he is outside the shelter.

TWILA 💛🐾 (A542543)

This petite Shepherd/Husky mix has spent far too much of her young life in the shelter!

If your dog needs a playmate, Twila is your girl. She’s one of the shelter’s most social pups — gentle with small dogs and puppies, and a total superstar at helping shy or selective dogs come out of their shell. She could play all day and would love a home with another active, playful dog.

True to her working-breed roots, Twila is full of youthful energy and would make an amazing hiking, running, and adventure buddy. She just needs someone willing to give her the exercise, structure, and love she’s been missing. In return, she’ll fill your life with laughter, loyalty, and endless entertainment.

Muffin 🌿🐶

This sweet, spayed 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog wants nothing more than to be out of her kennel. Recently, she spent the afternoon exploring a nearby topiary garden, where her adorable markings had her blending right in with the giant pandas 🐼

Shelter life has been especially hard on her morale. She came in as a stray and her family never came to claim her, leaving her heartbroken and confused. She’s thrilled to head out on and adventure with a friend and clearly resists going back inside — a gentle reminder that she’s more than ready for a real home.

Short walks, long naps, and cozy couches are her vibe. Let’s get Muffin out of the shelter and into a forever home.
