We know you’re so excited to go on some autumn nature walks with your dog, but for this #FallSafetyTip, make sure you watch out for snakes, some of which can be venomous! They’re preparing for hibernation and may be a little crankier if disturbed by a curious pet! 🐍

When walking or hiking, if something happens to your pet, be sure to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. #VCApets

Goober (A462838)

Goober (A462838) is a 4-year-old Chinese Shar-Pei looking for a home for the holidays. Goober has been at the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA since July! We think he’s been getting overlooked in the kennels. This past weekend he went home with a foster family to get some comfy couch time. He was a very well-behaved boy who liked to follow his Foster around the house and sit right by her side. He gave tons of kisses and slept peacefully at the foot of the bed at night. Goober is now back at PHS looking for a new friend who would like to give him a furrever home.

The adoption fee for dogs is $130. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before going to their new home.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

View photos of adoptable pets at pasadenahumane.org. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email.

Many people have asked how to support our hospital while we care for pets affected by the fires.

Our greatest needs are having enough health and care supplies to accommodate the influx of pets in our location.

If you're in a position to give, we'd be grateful to receive the following:

- Cat and dog crates and carriers
- Dog food (any brand, dry or canned)
- Blankets, bedding, bowls, and buckets
- 40-gallon horse buckets
- Horse electrolytes (powder or paste form)
- Horse blankets of all sizes, halters, lead ropes
- Face masks for volunteers (N95 or N100)
- Bottled water, sports drinks, and snacks for support personnel
- Large tubs or Tupperware containers to organize supplies (toolbox size or bigger)

We're also appreciative of anyone who shares this post to spread the word.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope everyone is staying safe.

I am very sad and disappointed that your facility does not have cat boarding anymore. My anxious cat, Dara, felt very safe in her spacious condo and was always well cared for during her stays. Hoping the management will reconsider their decision to no longer offer this service.
8-month old Joey the Bernedoodle goes to VCA Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital for her puppy check-ups.
Thank you for your kindness to me and my 15 year old Black cat Sammy.
Dear Dr. Annie and the staff at Noah’s Ark, Angela and myself would like to sincerely thank you all for the kind and compassionate care that you provided for our beloved Digby over his 17yrs. He was a sweet boy who gave us lots of love and joy. He was always up for an adventure and we made sure he had plenty of them. Digby lived a long and happy life thanks to your help. ❤️❤️❤️ Jimmy and Angela
Thank you from Nina for taking good care of me. 🐾🐾
Please, Santa Barbara people, share! Somebody saw a lady taking Boyo in a grey metallic car. Our hearts are broken. We want him back, and won't stop until he is home where he belongs. Please, return him, no questions asked. He is a big gray tabby, very friendly, usually rolls over to say hi. He is around 3 years old and microchipped. We are heartbroken. If you have seen him, please respond by email to this ad. He was last seen on June 19th around Salinas Place and Oak (East Side). There are two little girls waiting to see their friend again.
They are understaffed. After taking our pets to Noah's Ark for more than 30 years, we are DONE with them. Our dog waited more than 4 hours for nothing. Not seen, not checked, no phone calls to us to even tell us her status or lack thereof. I don't care how "nice" they are if they can't provide care and service. Not even a phone call to tell us that nothing was happening. So frustrated.
Good Afternoon, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Eric Curry and I am a Team Captain for this year's Community Walk Against Su***de, organized by the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. Last year our community suffered a tremendous blow with the losses of Dr. Tiffany Margolin and Dr. Amanda Lumsden. I was Dr. T's head assistant; to say her loss was devastating would be the understatement of the century. I am reaching out because today is 8/21, and the AFSP has a goal to raise $21,000 today, $1000 for each of the 21 walks they are organizing across the state of California. I thank you in advance for your support: https://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.participant&ParticipantID=1604457 Please consider joining us at 9am September 9th at Leadbetter Beach. I look forward to meeting you! https://youtu.be/TSU2qpw7NEg
