As a regenerative farm, we use cover crops to protect and improve our soil. Cover crops can fix nutrients, prevent erosion, reduce weeds, and more. This mix of peas, beans, vetch, and oats grew tall thanks to the rain, was chopped down before flowering, and now will be covered for a few weeks before planting our summer vegetables into these beds. Swipe to see this process and our awesome high school intern Sarah with the massive tarp we use to terminate the cover crop without tilling.
