Please help us save this senior girl in Kingston, TN, not far from Knoxville. We need a temporary foster for 7-10 days until transport can be arranged to MD. The foster will need to take her to a vet for vaccines and testing but we will pay for it. "Allie's" owners are losing their home and she has to be out this week. If you can share your home for a week or so, please message Bethany Watts.

Granny Nanny from KY has made her home at HOP. She is a tiny one, about 12 years old and sweet as can be. She already seems to be very comfortable here. Her mouth is a total mess! It appears that her gums on one side of her mouth have grown over her teeth. You can see her misshapen muzzle. But we will get that fixed asap.

Nanny's owners surrendered her to the shelter because she was too old. The next day, they returned to the shelter to adopt another dog. The shelter did NOT allow them to adopt! If I can get their names, I'll put them on the Do Not Adopt list.

I had to send Jessie to the Bridge. The vet said she either had a stroke or a brain tumor. She lost her sight and navigation, turning in circles and getting stuck in corners and other places. But she was 17 years old and had a good run. She was with us for 3 years. Rest easy, sweet Jessie.

Here's Miss Millie from Mississippi. She's young for our rescue, about 5-7, but we took her as a special needs case. This poor girl is such a mess. She has a broken leg, which has probably been that way for a while because she has no feeling in it. She gets around very slowly on 3 legs. Her left eye is ulcerated and blind. Her teeth are very worn or filed down, she's malnourished, excessively overbred, and she's heartworm positive. But she's beautiful and sweet and we will make her whole again.
