It begins with one cat and one completely reasonable decision: “I’ll just help this little one.”

Then a second hopeful face appears at the door. Before long, the first rescue has apparently posted an excellent review and the Cat Distribution System is sending everyone to the same address.

Some homes are simply marked as safe on a map only cats can see. Has your cat ever recruited another one?

🚨 This cat was FOUND TODAY in Frederick, MD 21701 near West 3rd Street between North Bentz Street and North Market Street.

💬 Finder's Message: "I found this cat in downtown Frederick on West 3rd Street between Market and Bentz this evening 10/28/26 around 7:00PM. Friendly with humans, seems well fed. But it doesn't have a collar and didn't seem very confident outdoors – I was concerned it was going to get hit by a car so it's currently hanging out in my bathroom with food, water, and litterbox. I plan to get it scanned for a microchip tomorrow. "

🚨 Maui was LOST YESTERDAY in Frederick, MD 21702 near Meadowview Dr. Cloverhill neighborhood.

💬 Owner's Message: "Our indoor cat Maui, was last seen yesterday around midday, but did not show up for noon feeding. He did not show up for his dinner feeding. He has a littermate who has been calling for him and searching for him all night without a response. The hse has been thoroughly and repeatedly searched so we suspect that he got outside. I have limited physical mobility and I’m unable to go outside and search thoroughly. Family members think they may have seen him a few hses away last night, but he did not come to them."

🐾 Description: "Male gray cat with light whitish gray patch near base of tail. Does not have a collar. Is micro chipped. He is an indoor cat who may have escaped."
