On 19th July LHAR was excited to welcome CoCo and Ami into our family. Coco has been adopted and Ami is thriving in Foster (still looking for her forever home) There were 2 other special dogs that arrived from Kuwait that day: Annie (approx. 2.5 years old) and her son Louis (approx. 1.5 years old) They were scheduled to be picked up by another rescue….who bailed on taking them at the last minute. (Yes you read that right) After a 24 hour flight, Annie and Louis were safe but stranded in the US. The amazing team at Saveasoulkw have been paying for them to be in boarding for the last 3 weeks
As we do, LHAR is stepping up and pulling these special dogs in hopes of getting them into forever homes. We are pleading for foster or delayed adoption homes for them!!
Both dogs are great with people and other dogs.

Louis-approx 1.5 years old 45lbs.
Annie-approx 2.5 years old and 50 lbs. (Annie needs follow up radiation therapy for a tumor removed a few months ago. The cost of this treatment is fully covered for any family able to foster or adopt her)

Update: Dylan, Dottie, Doris and Darla have been adopted! Cool off with the Dylan, Dottie,Doris and Darla this Sunday at Frederick Petsmart on Buckeystown Pike. 12-4pm. They will be joined by Nina, Nala and Urban/Marshmallow.

Pups are enjoying a beautiful Saturday! We will be at Petsmart next weekend.

Bottle babies-at 6 weeks

Update: Now posted. Bottle babies-now 6 weeks. 6 boys and 3 girls. Small breed-mother is rumored to be a Boston terrier mix. Available at 8-9 weeks old.Not yet posted. Www.lhar.dog

Update: All puppies are now adopted and in their forever homes! Bottle babies - 5 weeks old Babies are now eating wet and dry kibble. Always have fresh water. Small breed. Mom is with owner and doing fine after having eclampsia.

UPDATE: All pups are now in their forever home! Now taking applications! Www.lhar.dog Bottle babies - now 4 weeks old. Drinking from a saucer now!! Will keep everyone updated, but we are not taking applications on these pups until they are 8-9 weeks old. Mom is not in rescue and doing fine now. We will be covering her spay costs.

Update: All pups are now in their forever homes! Pups are now posted on Www.LHAR.dog. Applications being taken. Bottle babies: Arrived in rescue on Nov 25. Now 3 wks old. Mom had severe eclampsia and owners were unable to bottle feed 9 pups. Rumor has it that Mom is a Boston Terrier/mix? We are not yet taking applications. We will post them at 8 weeks old.

V2 litter is available!! Lab,Shepherd, Terrier, Collie, Hound mix is a best guess. 11weeks old.

Lonely Hearts is visiting the bottling plant apartments adoption event until 12:00noon!

Weebles working his quad wheelie!

Weebles now has his own set of wheels! Jay-Weebles and his brother, Jack-Wobbles are now 6 months old. Up to date on shots and neutered. We are guessing they are Aussie, Shepherd mix. The boys came into our rescue at a young age with severe stability issues. While they are developing “normally,” CAT scans revealed they may have “Cerebellar Hypoplasia” causing them to “weeble & wobble.” Jack Wobbles is more steady in his walking/running. While their long-term prognosis is unknown, they continue to be happy and active pups who don’t know how special they are! They will likely always have limitations but the boys are making progress. Week 4 in rescue. Bottle babies. Pups approximately 5-6 weeks old. Small breed mix is best guess. Now eating a bit of dry kibble, running, playing with toys and wagging tails. Not taking apps until they are posted at 8 weeks.

Bottle babies arrived last weekend. About 3 weeks old on arrival. Momma hit by car. Just showing their progress. Not taking applications yet.
