Everyone meet Gigi! Gigi was the sweetest little kitten that came to us after her human mom found her injured with a potentially broken leg! We were able to get Miss Gigi's pain under control and she was much happier when she left here. She stole the heart of our entire staff! Thank you for trusting us with the care of little miss Gigi!

Miss Athena was in hospital with us after eating rat bait! We recommend bringing your pets in as soon as possible after ingestion so we can make your pet vomit to reduce the amount of toxicity! There are many different types of rat bait, so we recommend bringing the type of rodenticide, as well as a general idea of time of ingestion and amount ingested!

Last but certainly not last, for this Meet our Team Tuesday, we are introducing Dr Jasmine Blattner!
Dr. Jasmine Blattner’s dedication to animal care began early, fueled by her active involvement in 4-H and FFA. Growing up, she cultivated a deep passion for agriculture by showing dairy and beef cattle, experiences that strengthened her connection to large animals and inspired her career in veterinary medicine. Her love for agriculture also led her to give back as a guest educator in veterinary sciences for a local Larimer County 4-H chapter regularly.
Dr. Blattner earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Colorado State University in 2019. To support herself during her undergraduate years, she gained valuable experience as a small animal emergency technician, working at our clinic and our sister clinic PETS Emergency for a total of eight years, with a brief stint at Colorado Animal Specialty and Emergency.
Dr. Blattner graduated from CSU this year with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During her time at CSU, she also collaborated with Dr. Ragan Adams under the Colorado Department of Agriculture and CSU Extension to study disaster preparedness and emergency management. This passion for aiding animals during crises continues through her work with the Colorado Veterinary Reserves, where she provides care to evacuated and displaced animals during disasters at no cost.
Outside of work, Dr. Blattner enjoys exploring the beauty of the Front Range with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Wesson (her most favorite breed) and her Husky Mix Noveski (Nova for short). At home, she cherishes quiet moments with her two cats, Kimber and Wi******er. Dr. Blattner is deeply committed to serving her Northern Colorado community and her dedication to faith, family, and service is rooted in her membership at Timberline Church, where she has been an active participant since 2016.

Welcome back to our team Dr Blattner! We are so happy to have you back with us!

Another Fun Fact Friday!
It has been proven that cats can jump up to 6 TIMES their height! This impressive fact shows the power their stealthy legs have! Not only can they jump high, but they can also run up to 30 MPH! So remember next time you're driving in bumper to bumper traffic going 10 mph, that your cat could be running faster than you are driving! Cats also often sleep 12-16 hours a day. So why is your cat suddenly rambunctious and hungry at 3am?! Lets see your feline friends in the comments!

For this weeks Meet our Team Tuesday, we would like to introduce our third of four interns!
Dr. Mulligan grew up in New Jersey and did her undergraduate training at Harvard University. She then joined the Navy and spent nearly three decades serving her country. Once she retired, she moved to beautiful Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University to fulfil her dream of becoming a veterinarian. When not working, she enjoys dog training, cooking and hiking with her husband, Chris, and their two dogs Teaghan and Chance.
Help us welcome Dr Mulligan to our team and thank her for her service!!!!

For this Meet our Team Tuesday, we would like to introduce Dr Shaefer Bennett! Dr Bennett is one of our four new interns for this years class.
Dr. Bennett is originally from Northern New Mexico, where he grew up on a small farm. His passion for animals made itself clear early on, and after he realized he was going to be too big to be a racehorse jockey - around age 10 - he set his sights on becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Bennett has worked in a large range of veterinary services, which range from working with seals on Orcas Island, Washington to sheep/goat herd health on the Navajo Nation, spaying and neutering dogs in rural Alaskan villages, equine ambulatory and small animal general practice in Albuquerque, NM, and so much more. After attending the University of New Mexico for a BS in Biology and a Chemistry minor, Dr Bennett moved to Fort Collins so he could attend veterinary school at CSU.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and camping, traveling the world with his partner Aria, growing veggies, and driving/tinkering with hobby-grade radio control cars (very silly and very fun).

Help us introduce one of our four new intern veterinarians!
