Fun Fact Friday!
Did you know that calico and tortoiseshell cats are almost always female?
That’s because their beautiful patchwork coloring is linked to the X chromosome — and females have two! Male calicos do exist… but they’re true unicorns 🦄🐱

This handsome guy is Mr. Monster, and he recently came in for help with an aural hematoma. These ear swellings can look a little alarming, and even though we don’t see them every day, they’re definitely something pet parents ask about once their pet starts shaking their head or scratching more than usual.

🌟 Big shoutout to Gracie and her mom, Joy! 🌟

Gracie came in to see Dr. Kraft for her recheck, and she is doing so well. We’re incredibly proud of her — but we have to say, Joy deserves just as much credit.

A successful recovery isn’t just what happens here in the clinic. Honestly, the biggest part of the healing process happens at home, and Joy has been doing an amazing job keeping Gracie comfortable, safe, and on track.

Because of all that love and effort, Gracie is bouncing back beautifully.
We’re cheering for you both — keep up the great work! 💚🐾

As Thanksgiving rolls in and we slow down for a moment, we can’t help but think about how much our pets truly mean to us. They’re there for the good days, the hard days, and all the quiet moments in between — and this time of year makes us appreciate them even more.
