💔🐾 SOME DAYS AT THE SHELTER, YOU JUST DON’T HAVE THE WORDS… MEET SWEET TEA. 🐾💔

Today was a hard day for a few different reasons, but this little girl really broke my heart.

Sometimes you look at a dog and wonder what in the world they have been through. And honestly, with Sweet Tea, I don’t think I even want to know.

What I DO know is what I saw standing in front of me today…

One of the sweetest, kindest, most forgiving and BRAVEST little souls. ❤️

Sweet Tea is about 6 years old and 52 pounds. I’m sure there was a time when this girl was absolutely beautiful on the outside, and I KNOW she will be beautiful again.

But here’s the thing…

Her heart is already beautiful. 🥹❤️

Whatever life has handed her, it has NOT taken away her ability to love. It hasn’t taken away her gentleness. It hasn’t taken away that precious spirit.

🐾 52 pounds
🐾 Meet and greets with other dogs
🐾 Kids 6+
🐾 And one incredibly loving, forgiving heart

Like I said in the video, I KNOW there is somebody out there who is going to see her and think, “I want to be the one who brings her back.”

The person who nurtures her.
The person who spoils her.
The person who watches her coat come back, her body heal and that beautiful little face begin to shine again.
The person who shows her that the rest of her life can be completely different from whatever came before. ❤️

And Sweet Tea isn’t the only one.

We have Penelope, another beautiful girl who has been through the wringer and deserves that very same chance. And there are so many others who come through our doors carrying stories we may never know.

I don’t need to know everything that happened to them.

I just want their NEXT chapter to be different.

I want Sweet Tea and Penelope treated like the princesses they should have been all along. 👑🐾

So tonight I’m hoping and praying that Sweet Tea’s special person sees this.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about adopting.
Maybe you’ve been waiting for the right dog.
Maybe you’re the person who wants to look at a dog who has been let down and say:

“Your hard days are over. Come home.” ❤️

Now we REALLY need some DOG ADOPTIONS! 🙏🏼🏡

We have so many wonderful dogs waiting for someone to choose them. Some have been there far too long, and every adoption opens up a kennel for another dog who needs us.

🌸💗 I THINK IT’S ABOUT HER TURN… MISS TAWNY! 💗🌸

How in the world has this beautiful girl been waiting since JULY?! 😭 Tawny is one of those dogs who just makes you wonder how she hasn’t been scooped up yet.

🐾 About 4 years old
🐾 45 pounds
🐾 Meet and greets with other dogs
🐾 Pretty easy to walk
🐾 Kids 6+

Tawny is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but it’s her sweet personality that really gets you. She’s affectionate, she’s a lap dog, and she has the prettiest smile. 🥹💕 She just wants to be close to her people and soak up some love.

It sure doesn’t seem like this girl has had the easiest life. Tawny has clearly been a mama, probably more times than she ever should have been. I’m sure she was a wonderful mama, but those days are OVER. No more babies for this sweet girl. Now it’s finally supposed to be HER turn to be babied. 💗

A soft bed. A comfy couch. Someone to tell her she’s beautiful every single day. Maybe a lap she can curl up in and call her own. That’s the life Miss Tawny deserves now.

She’s waited long enough. I really think it’s her time. 🥰

ATTENTION 👑🐾 A MESSAGE FROM JANE, KENNEL 239 🐾👑

Jane asked me to relay a message to all you Facebook people, and apparently she has A LOT to say. 😂

She said:

“Listen, people. I am NOT digging this kennel situation.

I used to live in a home. I had all the comforts of life, people around me, attention when I wanted it… and now THIS? Absolutely not. This place is not for me. I would like someone to fix this situation immediately.” 😂💗

And honestly, Miss Jane has a point.

Jane is about 4 years old and 58 pounds, and get this…

🐾 Meets with kids under 5
🐾 Easy-going
🐾 Loves everybody
🐾 BIG lover girl
🐾 Enjoys plenty of attention… okay, maybe ALL the attention 😆

Jane is such a special girl, but shelter life is definitely not her cup of tea. She wants her people. She wants a couch. She wants love, attention, comfort, and preferably someone available to admire her whenever she feels the need. 👑

She’s a little needy, a whole lot lovable, and very clearly convinced she should be living the good life again.

Jane specifically told me to make sure you SHARE HER STORY, because according to her, somebody out there has room for one more beautiful queen bee. 💗

And she says she’s expecting someone to show up…

Velveeta is just 1 year old and about 50 pounds, and she is an absolute sweetheart. She’s happy, social, playful and always ready to make a new friend. 🐾💕

THIS is the Effie we have been fighting for.

On her back.
Feet in the air.
Completely relaxed.
Sound asleep on a couch.

For the first time in a long time, Effie can finally exhale.

Shelter life has been incredibly hard on this sweet girl. She became so overwhelmed and distressed in the kennel environment that she was hurting herself while kenneled. She desperately needed a break, and thankfully, a very short-term foster stepped up to give her one.

And look what happened. 💗

Away from the noise and stress, Effie is showing us the girl we knew was in there all along.

🐾 A girl who can stretch out on a couch.
🐾 A girl who can finally let her guard down.
🐾 A girl who can sleep peacefully.
🐾 A girl who just wants to feel safe beside her people.

But this foster home is VERY TEMPORARY.

We need to find Effie a permanent home ASAP

Everybody’s favorite girl… meet Snazzy! ✨🐾

If you’re looking for a petite princess who is bursting at the seams with personality and cuteness, then Snazzy is the pup for you!

This girl is such a joy to be around. She’s sweet, spunky, and eager to learn. She knows ‘sit’ and ‘shake’ and listens to direction well. She’s highly food motivated and would love to learn more tricks and commands with her future family. She’s also a 10/10 car companion and snuggle bug.

Snazzy is the perfect balance of playful and chill. She loves to toss her toys into the air and pounce after them. She’s quite possibly the world’s biggest bully stick fan, but she’s happy to take any treat really. Once she’s exerted her pent up energy, she’s ready for some downtime on a cozy couch.

Snazzy is about 1.5 years old and 35 pounds. She appears to be dog friendly when properly introduced and would do well with children of all ages - the perfect family dog! She’s a social butterfly who is going to bring an immeasurable amount of joy to her people. Her goofy personality and commitment to keeping her tongue out at all times only adds to her charm.
