Official GCAC page We house stray dogs/cats, accept owner surrenders and have dogs/cats available for adoptions.

If you are missing a dog/cat, we urge you to come and search through our stray ward. We keep animals on a 7 day stray hold before they are evaluated, spayed/neutered and offered for adoption to the public. All animals receive vaccination booster shots, are dewormed and receive a flea treatment intake.

MEET CHARLIE! 🤎🐾

This sweet boy has been so overlooked here at GCAC. When there’s a steady flow of new residents coming in, some dogs just get lost in the shuffle.

Charlie hasn’t had the most stable life so far, and he deserves so much better. He arrived with another dog weeks ago who was adopted almost immediately. Charlie, on the other hand, hasn’t had any interest. 🥺

This floppy-eared pup is only about 1 year old and 50 pounds. He has the cutest strut and his run is more of a continuous hop (yes, it’s absolutely adorable). He’s silly, playful, and athletic so he will need an active family.

Charlie can be nervous with new people, places, and experiences but once he’s had time to warm up, he’s the life of the party. He loves butt scratches and attention and gets little bursts of the zoomies after he’s soaked up some lovins.

Charlie requires a meet with other dogs living in the home to make sure they’re comfortable with each other. He’s still learning and working on his manners, so he would do best with older children (10-12+ recommended).

This cuddle bug is looking for a cozy home that has plenty of space for him to zoom and play. Come meet him at GCAC!

Meet Reptar! 🦖🐾

This sweet, timid boy is looking for a calm home and a patient family who promises to stick by his side through thick and thin. The world has been scary for him and he’s been done wrong by humans in the past, but he’s ready to be brave and start fresh with kind, committed humans.

This handsome guy is slow to warm up, but with patience and treats, he will begin to feel safe with you. He thoroughly enjoys sniffing and exploring his surroundings, so he would be a great walking buddy for someone who enjoys spending time in nature.

Reptar is about 2-3 years old and 66 pounds. He would feel most comfortable around dogs that match his calm, cool, and collected energy so he does require a meet with any potential canine roommates. A family with older children would be most ideal for him as well (teens+ recommended).

If you have a calm home, plenty of patience, and unconditional love to give, then come meet Reptar!! He will absolutely steal your heart. ♥️

🩵 MEET BLUE 🩵

This handsome little fella hasn’t had a good life so far, but now we have the opportunity to completely change his life for the better… and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Blue has been extremely stressed at the shelter, so he was able to spend some time in a temporary foster home. He did amazing and we were able to learn so much about him, but he is now back at GCAC hoping to find his forever family as soon as possible!

Blue was a 10/10 house guest. He was extremely cuddly and sweet, crate trained, and on the quieter side. He was polite, he walked well on leash, and he did great in the car.

Blue is about 3.5 years old and 43 pounds. He hasn’t shown much interest in other dogs here, but it’d be best to bring the canine members of the family along for a proper meet. He is working through a lot of puppy behaviors and practicing his manners, so he will need to find a family with older children (teens+).

Please help us share Blue - we would love to see him get adopted today or tomorrow!! 🐾

❤️🐾 MINI'S UPDATE: ONE MORE LIFE SAVED, THANKS TO YOU! 🐾❤️

We wanted to share an update on Mini and, most importantly, say THANK YOU to everyone who stepped up to help her!

Mini has completed her surgery. Unfortunately, her injured leg could not be saved, and it had to be amputated. During surgery, a cancerous lump was discovered. The good news is that everything has now been removed, and we are hopeful that Mini has a much brighter road ahead. ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters across the three fundraisers we held, we raised a total of $1,846!

Mini's total medical bill came to $2,385, leaving a balance that we had to cover.

We are a small group, and expenses like these are a big undertaking for us. But this is exactly why we do what we do. When an animal's family is faced with impossible decisions because of the cost of medical care, we want to be there when we can.

Mini gets another chance at life with the family who loves her, and that is something worth celebrating!

To everyone who donated, shared our fundraisers, or helped spread the word, THANK YOU! You helped make this possible. Never underestimate what even a small donation can do. Those dollars add up, and they truly help save lives.

Meet Khan! 🐾
Are you ready to open your heart to an absolute sweetheart? Khan is a gentle, handsome young fella who has completely stolen the hearts of our volunteers. 🤎

This adorable boy loves attention and will happily reward his favorite people with cuddles once he feels safe. He is currently working on building up his confidence, so he is looking for a patient adopter who is willing to give him the extra time and space he needs to adjust to a new environment. When he gets comfortable, his sweet personality truly shines!

The most handsome pup… introducing John Logan! ♥️🐾

If you’re searching for perfection, then stop what you’re doing and come meet this precious soul!

John Logan is about 2 years old, 55 pounds, and dog friendly with slow and proper introductions. He loves absolutely everybody, and we think he would be a great addition to a loving family (even those with young children). He does require a meet with kids five and under just to make sure he’s the perfect fit for everybody in the home.

Mr. Logan has been described as wiggly, cuddly, and perfect. He arrived here a bit underweight and neglected, but he will be right as rain with time and TLC. He’s a very resilient, tolerant pup who loves to explore his surroundings.

🚀❤️ 3 MONTHS WAITING… AND LOOK WHO’S BEEN HIDING IN THAT KENNEL!

Almost 3 months. That's how long Raygun has been waiting for someone to choose him. And now that he's had a chance to show us what he's like in a home, we're wondering how this boy is still waiting. ❤️

Raygun's foster dad has been giving us a pretty impressive report!

🏡 Housebroken! No accidents in the home with regular potty breaks every 2–3 hours.

🐾 42 pounds of personality! A great, manageable size with a short, incredibly smooth coat.

❤️ A certified cuddle bug! Pets are pretty much his favorite thing in the world. He will happily melt into you and soak up all the attention you have to give.

😴 A surprisingly good houseguest! He's a little higher energy, but very manageable and settles down quickly. If you're working, he's perfectly happy snoozing nearby or keeping an eye on the neighborhood through the windows. He sleeps through the night, too!

🚗 Great car passenger! He loves having his head out the window. He does like to move around and sometimes thinks a lap is the best seat, so a vehicle restraint is highly recommended.

👋 Never met a stranger! He's confident, social, and makes friends quickly. He won over the neighbor in about two minutes!

🔎 Always on patrol! Raygun is observant of his surroundings and will alert you to suspicious things, including Halloween decorations and reflections. He's not a big, constant barker, but he likes to keep tabs on things.

A couple of things potential adopters should know: Raygun can pull lightly to moderately on leash while following his nose and exploring. He also has an EXTREMELY high prey drive. Squirrels in the backyard are serious business for this guy, and this is something his future family will need to consider carefully.

He even tolerated a bath after rolling in something particularly gross and seemed to enjoy being towel-dried. 😂

Here's what really stands out: Raygun hasn't necessarily had the easiest life, but he hasn't let that take away his love for people. He's confident, affectionate, full of personality, and proving to be a remarkably good dog in a home.

He's been waiting almost THREE MONTHS. And now he's showing us exactly what a wonderful companion he can be.

We need to get this boy out of the shelter and into a home of his own. He deserves more than another day in a kennel. He deserves a family.

MEET HARMONY! 🎼

Check out this beautiful girl! She appears to be a husky/shepherd mix, so she’s looking for someone who is a bit more active. She’s a zoomy girl who loves to feel the wind rustle through her fur. 🥰

Harmony is the kind of pup who always greets her humans with a big smile and a hopeful look that seems to say, “Ready for our next adventure?”

She’s an excited, playful little princess who would love to have a fenced in yard. She’s also quite the smart cookie, and she already knows ‘sit’ and ‘shake’ (both paws!). She would love to continue learning tricks and commands with her forever family.

She’s a cuddly little bug, and one of her favorite hobbies is rolling around on her back while getting lots of belly rubs.

Harmony is about 2 years old, 43 pounds, and dog friendly with proper intros. We always recommend bringing up the canine members of the household for a proper meet before making an adoption official. She has a great temperament and loves people, so we believe that she would do well with children of all ages (meets required with kids under five).
