❤️ A LITTLE EXTRA LOVE FOR OUR VET TECHS 🐾

Being a veterinary technician is about so much more than playing with puppies and kittens (although those moments are pretty great! 🐶🐱).

It’s long, busy days, tough decisions, stressful moments, and caring for patients who can’t tell us what hurts. It’s celebrating the wins, fighting for the ones who need us most, and sometimes having to say goodbye to patients who have become part of our hearts, too. It’s also being there for families during some of their hardest moments, offering comfort and compassion when they have to say goodbye to their best friends.

Veterinary medicine can be physically and emotionally demanding, and no two days are ever the same. But even on the hardest days, our team shows up, puts their hearts into what they do, and gives their patients and families the very best they can. ❤️

This National Veterinary Technician Week, we want to celebrate the people behind the scrubs and the countless little things they do that make a BIG difference.

🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK! ❤️

October 18–24 is all about celebrating the amazing veterinary technicians who help keep our patients healthy and our clinic running every day!

From collecting blood samples and running lab tests to taking X-rays, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and monitoring patients, our techs wear A LOT of hats! 🩺🔬 They also help our doctors throughout the day, keep treatments moving, educate pet parents, and make sure every patient gets the care and attention they deserve.

Behind those busy days are education, hands-on training, specialized skills, and a commitment to continuing to learn as veterinary medicine advances. It takes knowledge, teamwork, quick thinking, and plenty of compassion to do what they do!

Our veterinary technicians are an essential part of the GRAH Family, and we couldn't do what we do without them. ❤️

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. KITTLE! 🎉

October 15th is Dr. Kittle’s birthday, and we’re celebrating one of the people who makes GRAH what it is today! 🐾❤️

For Dr. Kittle, GRAH is more than just a veterinary hospital, it’s a family legacy. He took over the practice from his father when he retired, continuing the work and tradition that have been such an important part of GRAH for so many years. ❤️

If you’ve met Dr. Kittle, you probably know he’s a pretty reserved guy, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care deeply. He is an incredibly knowledgeable doctor, a great listener, and someone who truly takes the time to hear what our clients have to say about their pets. He knows that sometimes the people who know our patients best are the ones who live with them every day. 🐶🐱

He is also our surgeon here at GRAH, and whether he’s caring for a surgical patient, helping a teammate, or working with a client, he always does his very best to make sure everyone is taken care of. ❤️

We’re very lucky to have Dr. Kittle carrying on his family’s legacy and, most importantly, to have someone who genuinely cares about his patients, his clients, and his team. 🐾

Happy Birthday, Dr. Kittle! 🎂🎉 We hope you have a wonderful day and get a chance to celebrate, you deserve it!

🐾 Pet Obesity Awareness Day — October 14th 🐾

“How much should I be feeding them?”

It’s one of the questions we hear all the time during wellness visits, and honestly, it’s a great question! ❤️

Figuring out the right amount to feed your pet isn’t always as simple as following the directions on the bag. Every pet is different, and things like age, activity level, breed, body condition, treats, and even changes in lifestyle can all make a difference.

October is Pet Obesity Awareness Month, so it’s a great time to take a closer look at our pets’ body condition and have an open conversation with your veterinary team. This isn’t about judging what you’re feeding or how many treats you give. It’s about making sure your pet is getting what they need to stay healthy and feel their best. 🐶🐱❤️

And sometimes those extra pounds can be harder to recognize than we think! According to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, many owners whose pets are overweight still consider their pet to be at a healthy weight.

Not sure if your pet is at their ideal weight or how much they should be eating? Ask us! We’re always happy to talk about portions, treats, activity, body condition, and what might work best for your pet. 🐾

🐾 Happy Monday from Bruno! 🐾

Meet Bruno! This adorable 10-week-old Cane Corso came to GRAH for his very first puppy wellness visit and vaccines a few weeks ago, and let’s just say… the entire staff was a little obsessed with him. 🥰❤️

At just 18 pounds, Bruno was still small enough for everyone to sneak in a little puppy-holding time! 😂🐶 We figured we better take advantage of it now, because something tells us this little guy isn’t going to stay 18 pounds for very long! 😂
