Fall show recap! Thanks to all of our riders, horses, volunteers, and staff for a fantastic fall horseshow! It was a gorgeous fall day filled with great riding, horsemanship, and costumes. 👻

Congratulations to the following riders who won Champion in their division for the highest points earned across Equitation, Test, and Showmanship classes:

- Advanced Champion: Caroline Peacock
- Intermediate Champion: Harper Duritsky
- Novice Champion: Anna Tisdale

We had a whopping 17 horses enter Costume Class this year with some very creative costumes! The winners were Estella Meza & Evalina Dostal who dressed with Cosmo for their "Into the Cosmos" costume.

Twix also defended his title as Apple Bobbing Champion during the lunch break competition, but not without a valiant effort from some other contenders...including rookie apple bobber - Sam.

Well done to all! 🍂

What a fantastic outing at the September Northern Ohio Dressage Association Schooling Show!

We had a full weekend with 7 horses competing. Everyone earned great scores and ribbons, provided positive experiences for their horses, and made VRI proud.

Thank you to each person - both at the show and at home - who helped make this weekend a success!

It is with profound sadness we share the passing of our beloved school horse, Merlin.

We have welcomed many, many great horses through our program over the years, but we can all agree Merlin was exceptional. With his quiet, knowing demeanor, Merlin was a dependable teacher in each and every one of our programs for over two decades.

He joined the team at just 4 years old and was always wise beyond his years. No matter the job, you could always count on Merlin. From jumping in his younger days to being a surefooted mount in the Therapeutic Riding Program, and everything in between, it is hard to even imagine how many riders, volunteers, and friends Merlin touched in his long life.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Merlin feel loved with a pat, a hug, or a kind word, and thanks to those who have contributed to his care in many important ways. But above all, thank you, Merlin.

We would love for you to share memories and photos to remember Merlin in the comments. ♥

We had a great time hosting the Northern Ohio Dressage Association Schooling Show this weekend! Congrats to all riders who came out for a nice day of showing.

Special thanks to NODA for offering Academy classes to get some of our Grooms, Junior Grooms, and leasers in the ring for the first time with our school horses. Our riders worked hard to prepare - both in and out of the saddle - and showed impressive teamwork with their horses and each other. Great job to all!
