Dear fellow dog walkers, Do you have a dog that is crazy jumping around even when on a leash especially when people walk by or growls at people when the walk by? Tonight I was walking my large spastic rescue dog when I saw a lady walking down the sidewalk towards me. I knew my dog would jump at her because he loves people, so I stepped to the side. I look directly at her and said, " Hello and how are you today." She smiled and said, "Hello" and walked on by then I heard her say, "Excuse me." I turned around, She had a big smile on her face. "Thank you, for sharing the sidewalk. I'm terrified of dogs and I appreciate your kindness. Then she said there are alot of people in this neighborhood that don't think about us and its scary walking by them." This is the first time that I did this. I probably walked by her before and scared her to death. I'm glad she spoke up. Let's be good neighbors and share the sidewalk, step to the side when someone else is walking by or even ask out loud, which I have done before, "Are you ok with dogs?" Which sometimes lets my rescue meet a new friend.
