Furry Feature of the Week – Blue Danube!

Meet Blue Danube! Blue Danube is a stunning grey tortoiseshell beauty with a serene spirit and a heart full of love. This mature lady knows exactly what she likes — calm, quiet spaces where she can relax and enjoy the comforts of home. She loves gentle human attention and would thrive with someone who appreciates her peaceful nature.

Blue Danube would be happy in a home with other laid-back pets but would be just as content as the queen of your castle, soaking up all the love and attention. She came to us after her previous owner lost her home. Now, Blue Danube is ready for a fresh start; one filled with comfort, stability, and all the affection she deserves.

If you're looking for a sweet, low-key companion to share your quiet moments, Blue Danube may be your perfect match. Come meet her and let her grace your life with her gentle presence! DOB: 2/2018

Furry Feature of the Week – Molly!

Meet Molly. Molly is an 11-year-old Yorkie with a gentle soul and lots of love to give. Sadly, due to changing circumstances, her previous owners could no longer provide the care she deserved, and now Molly is hoping for a fresh start with someone special.

Since coming into foster care, Molly has shown herself to be a sweet little companion who enjoys attention on her own terms. She loves daily brushing and doesn’t mind bath time at all — a big plus for a Yorkie girl! She gets along well with people and other dogs and especially enjoys playful moments like being gently chased around by her human. Don’t let her age fool you — Molly still has little bursts of playful energy and occasional zoomies.

Molly is pee-pad trained and would do best in a calm home that appreciates the needs and routines of a senior dog. One thing to know is that she does get car sick, so shorter trips and a stable routine help keep her comfortable.

Molly would thrive with someone patient, kind, and happy to let her settle in at her own pace. In return, she offers sweetness, companionship, and plenty of quiet affection.

Furry Feature of the Week – Goblin!

Meet Goblin! Goblin is a stunning and striking grey-brown tabby whose unique streaks are sure to capture your attention at first glance. His coat is truly one of a kind, but like his personality, he asks that you take things slow when reaching out to admire it.

While we don’t know much about Goblin’s beginnings, we do know he likely spent time surviving on his own, since he is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. With proper care, regular veterinary attention, and a loving, watchful home, FIV-positive cats like Goblin can live long, happy lives.

Goblin currently resides in one of our big-boy FIV rooms alongside other feline companions, and he gets along just fine with his kittymates. He would do well in a home with other friendly, easygoing cats. When it comes to people, Goblin is learning to trust more each day. With patience and a gentle approach, he’ll come around, quietly seeking affection in his own coy way.

If you’re someone who appreciates a humble spirit and you’re willing to let love grow at Goblin’s pace, you’ll find that his beautiful markings and his soft soul will leave a lasting impression on your heart! DOB: 11/2024

Furry Feature of the Week – Tika!

Meet Tika, ready for her happily ever after! Tika is a beautiful Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and the gentlest soul. Around 2 years old, and just under 50 pounds, Tika is the perfect blend of sweet companion and playful friend. She happily leans into affection from her human pals and loves soaking up pets and attention, but she also enjoys stretching her legs and playing with her four-legged friends.

Tika previously lived with other dogs and did wonderfully with them. She has a soft, sensitive nature and can be fearful of loud noises and brooms, so she’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to build confidence and feel safe.

This lovely girl came to us from a sister rescue in Kentucky, where she recently gave birth to 10 adorable puppies. After being such a devoted mama, it’s finally Tika’s turn to be cared for, cherished, and spoiled in a forever home of her own.

During a recent stay at a volunteer's house, Tika enjoyed going for walks and was very curious of people, bikes, and children playing. Tika can get anxious during car rides and is prone to motion sickness, so she may need some extra patience and support when traveling. She can also be sensitive in new or overwhelming situations — for example, when another dog barked at her, she tucked her tail and froze up — so she’s looking for a calm, patient home that will help build her confidence at her own pace.

Tika’s gentle spirit and loving personality make her such a special dog. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion with so much love to give, Tika may just be your perfect match.
