🌹 Rosie is the polite, tidy, and all around lovely houseguest you’ve been waiting for! Even better, she’s totally down to chill on the couch with you and watch whatever you want on tv. Such an easygoing girl who is just happy for a few chin scratches and a human beside her. If she doesn’t like your show, she’s always purrfectly happy to watch the one outside, as well. Rosie is a true lover of bird tv! When she gets a burst of the zoomies, she turns into the silliest goose. Rolling around on the floor, showing off her belly, running, chasing, contorting into the funniest shapes. She’s quite a show off! Yet, she hasn’t gotten any bites at the adoption center just yet. 🎣

🏕️ SO, since Rosie has been with us for many months, now through June 30th, we are sending the kitties to summer camp! Any cat that is FeLV+, is currently available for adoption in a foster home, or is listed as a ‘camper’ at the adoption center is available for foster-to-adopt. This means you can foster Rosie while you are deciding if she is a good fit for your home. At the end of camp (about 30 days into fostering) you can decide if you would like to adopt or end the fostering period. If you do decide to adopt, you will pay a reduced adoption fee of $45! 🛶

Do you want to go camping with your new best friend? Leilani is ready to go. She is happy to play with wand toy while you set up the tent. She is happy to stay in her sleeping bag as you chat about your day and your plans for the hike tomorrow. She will even help you clean up the campsite in the morning, as the supervisor.

🐾 Paws what you’re doing right meow and check out Violin. You can celebrate Father’s Day in style with us at OAR by becoming a “cat daddy”! 🎻

🎶 Violin is a spunky and sweet girl who is in need of someone to talk to about her day. She’s got lots and lots to say and you won’t get tired of hearing her sweet chirps and chatters. She also loves to play. Chasing her mouse toy is a beloved hobby. She’ll let you know when she’s had enough of him though because she’ll plop down right on top of him to say “I’m done now”. 😹

🤩 Her wonderful purrsonality aside, she’s also quite the looker! With the most plush, velvety fur, she looks like a bunny! The best part? Aside from the most gorgeous green eyes, anyway. She looooves to be pet all over her soft body. There’s not much you will get tired of with Violin! 🐰

✨🏠 Real Estate for Cats! 🏠✨

📈Business is booming in the kitten housing market, and we need your help preparing move-in ready accommodations for our teeny, tiny feline residents! 🐈🐈🐈

As kittens head off to loving homes, their playpens become available for the next residents arriving from their foster homes. Every Monday, our Playpen Specialist volunteers help clean, disinfect, and reset these kitty condos so they are ready for their next occupants.

Think of yourself as part housekeeping expert, part interior designer, and part move-in coordinator—all for our kittens. 😻

📆 Shifts:
• Mondays 12:00–2:00 PM
• Mondays 2:00–4:00 PM

🕢 Commitment: 2 hours weekly

You will be a purr-fect fit if you:
🐾 Can wheel playpens outdoors or to our Medical & Foster Care Center for disinfection
🐾 Are comfortable bending, moving, and staying active throughout your shift
🐾 Enjoy checking tasks off a list and following detailed procedures
🐾 Do not mind a little soap, scrubbing, and Rescue disinfectant in the name of helping cats
🐾 16+

Your volunteer work ensures every kitten arrives at the Adoption Center with a clean, cozy space where they can relax, settle in, and begin their journey toward a loving home. 💜

Genealogy is ready to go camping with you. She’s our next Cat Camper and is available foster to adopt. Genie is a low maintenance girl who wants to chill with you and watch the birds. She’s cool if you have a busy life and just want to hang out for a few minutes each day. She’s happy to chat when it works for you.

🐾 What Kind of Foster Are You? 🐾

When many people think about fostering, they picture tiny kittens needing bottle feeding around the clock.

But the truth is, foster volunteers come in all varieties and so do the cats who need them!

Some foster volunteers love caring for playful kittens. Others prefer a quiet adult cat who just needs a place to relax before adoption. Some are willing to take on ringworm or medical cases, while others enjoy helping shy cats build confidence.

Can you imagine caring for five newborns? Now imagine doing it in a crowded, noisy shelter—surrounded by strangers and stressed-out animals. Not exactly ideal, right?

That was reality for Clarinet and her little jazz band of kittens. 😿

Thankfully, our partner shelter knew we could step in and give this family the extra support they needed. In early May, Clarinet and her babies came to OAR and were quickly moved into a foster home—where things changed completely.

Now, Clarinet has a warm, quiet, and safe space to raise her five little ones. Less stress. Less exposure to illness. Just the peace a mama cat needs to do what she does best. And with a trained foster volunteer keeping an eye on everyone’s health, this whole family is thriving.

Clarinet and her kittens are still in foster care, but we’re happy to report they’re all healthy, growing, and will be ready for adoption soon! 🐾
