MMAH is a forever home for leukemia & FIV positive cats. In June of 2005, our vet, Dr. Jeff, asked us to take our first leukemia positive cat, Mayflower.

It is located in Cincinnati Ohio and is a 501c3 nonprofit charity.Our mission is to improve life for,but not limited to, leuk+ & FIV+ cats, providing food, home, vet care. Soon after Sabrina, Nicky, Nora, Charlie and Georgia followed and we haven't looked back since. We currently offer shelter, vet care, companionship and lots of love to FIV and leukemia positive cats. While never exceeding a mana

geable number of residents, we have sheltered over 500 cats during the last 17years. We are a small haven and are often full, but we dream of expanding our useable space and therefore the number of animals we can shelter. We cannot take in cats who have tested negative, nursing or pregnant cats, or ferals as we just do not have the space. However, if you have a leukemia positive cat that gets along with other cats and likes being indoors then contact us if you are looking for a forever home. FiV intake was closed when our maximum number was reached. Our current clinic is the Evandale Blue Ash Pet Hospital. They are using sonograms, ultrasounds, dentals, and Texas A&M panels etc to give our kitties the best care possible and have helped cut our losses by two thirds.

🎉✨ Celebrate a Birthday, Change a Life ✨🎉

In honor of Jared’s birthday on November 18th, we’re launching a special fundraiser to support the animals here at Mother Mayflowers Animal Haven. 💛🐾

It never gets easier sharing posts like these, but it is a very real part of providing sanctuary to FeLV and FIV positive cats.

Our hearts are heavy as we said goodbye to one of our resident FeLV cats, Kali. She came to the sanctuary with her 4 siblings and she is now reunited with 3 of them on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Kali’s feline leukemia infection had progressed to the point where her body was no longer making new red blood cells, causing her to be severely anemic. She was no longer interested in greeting Jared when he came into the room and she was reluctant to eat.

We will miss you sweet girl but I know you’re no longer suffering and reunited with Trixie, Roxi and Piper 🐾

🌈🐾 In Loving Memory of Misha 🐾🌈

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our sweet Misha has crossed the rainbow bridge. 💔

Misha came to us as one of our leukemia-positive residents with his sisters, Natalia and Sasha, and from the very beginning he showed us what quiet strength looked like. He had the softest presence — gentle, calm, and full of love. He wasn’t the loudest in the room, but he didn’t need to be. His eyes spoke volumes, and anyone who spent time with him felt his warmth. 💕

He adored cozy naps in sunny spots, head scratches, and just being near his people. Simple joys meant everything to him, and he reminded us every day to slow down and appreciate the little things.

Though his time here was too short, it was filled with comfort, dignity, and love. That’s all we ever want for our residents — and Misha gave us just as much love in return.

Rest peacefully, sweet boy. You’ll always be part of our family, and you’ll never be forgotten. 🕊️💚

Sammy had his vet check-up and passed with flying colors! 🌟 Don’t let his grumpy face fool you, he was allllllll over his vet tech and doctor off camera

He came to us bonded with his best friend Mr. Kitty, who’s FIV+, but nothing can shake their friendship. 💕 These two are proof that love really is the best medicine. 🐾

We’re so glad he’s healthy, happy, and still glued to his buddy’s side. 💚

😺💚 Good News from the Vet! 💚😺

Joseph and Kumquat had their check-ups last week, and we’re happy to report that everything looks purr-fect! 🐾✨

They were absolute stars at the vet — and of course, we couldn’t resist snapping a few adorable photos of them showing off their charm. 📸🐱

We’re so grateful for every healthy day we get with these precious souls, and it’s all thanks to YOUR support that they receive the care they need. 💕
