We are a foster-based cat rescue. All our cats are fully vetted and fostered in our volunteers' homes. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

To help control the population of community cats, we are very active in TNR (trap-neuter-return). The mission of Crazy Cats Animal Rescue is to enrich the lives of communities in Greater Cincinnati by running a no-kill, foster-based, cat rescue, dedicated to finding loving families for homeless cats. All cats are fully vetted and fostered/socialized in loving homes before adoption. We have a 99%+

save rate. You can meet our cats at the Florence, KY Petsmart and Loveland/Symmes, OH Petco. You can read about our cats on Petfinder and Adopt A Pet. To reduce the free-roaming cat population, we actively participate in humane trap-neuter-return programs. At Crazy Cats, we use open communication and trust to match adoptable cats and kittens with devoted, forever homes and our inclusive approach welcomes a diverse community of adopters, which benefits both the cats and their new families.

Meet Wilder, he was found out on the street yesterday. He’s a senior man at 12-15yrs old. He’s incredibly matted all over his body and very skinny. Tomorrow he’ll be sedated so we can fully shave him, and to get bloodwork done to see what’s going on with him !!

Update on Fubo….. first let me say we are so incredibly thankful to Dr Jaax and Jaax Veterinary Hospital for always going above and beyond to help us help animals in need.

Dr. Jaax came in on her day off to do this surgery because she knew it was a long surgery and needed to be done as soon possible. This surgery is incredibly complicated and not many vets will even attempt it. Most of the time it’s only done by a specialist with a HUGE price tag that we couldn’t begin to come up with, however, Dr Jaax is always willing to do whatever she can to help.

A congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia means Fubo was born with a gap (or hole) in his diaphragm (chest) allowing organs to move in around his lungs thus causing him to not be able to breathe well. Dr Jaax was able to move the organs and repair the large hole and now Fubo is breathing better than he has his entire life. The surgery lasted over 3 hours and he came through like a champ !!

This video is him the following morning !! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO SAVE FUBO’s LIFE. This surgery was very expensive (not as expensive as it would’ve been anywhere else) and the only way we could’ve done it was with your help.

Kitten season this year has been crazy and we still have a lot of kittens BUT in the last 6 weeks we’ve done 9 adoptions of both kittens and adults !!!

It has been brought to our attention that a fake Venmo account has been made using our name and logo. Please DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS ACCOUNT ! The fake account has a hyphen after the name but ours does not! I know these differences are hard to see but they are different.

We just took in this adorable kitten named Fubo from a local shelter because he was at risk for euthanasia. Fubo has a very serious condition that requires a complicated surgery - a diaphragmatic hernia. This is an expensive surgery (Est $3,000) and we are extremely fortunate that our vet is able to do it. We are a little concerned because the hole does seem to be large which complicates thing a bit.

A few days ago we were contacting by someone that lives and feeds in one of the neighborhoods where we have a lot of stray route stops. They had this cat show up a week and a half ago and were worried about it. We went over and trapped her and quickly rushed her to our vet (who graciously agreed to see her after hours so she wouldn’t have to wait until the next morning). Unfortunately it was determined she had a large ear mass, was severely dehydrated, incredibly underweight (she only weighed 4 pounds) and was an older lady around 14 or 15. Her bloodwork was terrible and overall her quality of life was just not there. We decided (with the recommendation of our vet) that the kindest thing we could do for her was to humanely euthanize her. It absolutely tears us up inside when we have to do this, we always feel like the world has already let her down and we couldn’t make up for that. This is one of the hardest things in rescue , seeing an animal that you want to do everything you can to help but just not being able to do anything. She was feral and even if we tried to remove the mass there would still be aftercare of having to physically clean the ear which she wouldn’t allow, she would’ve needed IV fluids for days and then there’s still no guarantee she would improve, the stress alone would be detrimental. I’m posting this to say that even though she was feral and we only knew her a short time her life mattered. We 🩷 you Birdseed and we hope you’re finally out of pain ! 🌈
