Crazy Cats Animal Rescue

Crazy Cats Animal Rescue We are a foster-based cat rescue. All our cats are fully vetted and fostered in our volunteers' homes. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

To help control the population of community cats, we are very active in TNR (trap-neuter-return). The mission of Crazy Cats Animal Rescue is to enrich the lives of communities in Greater Cincinnati by running a no-kill, foster-based, cat rescue, dedicated to finding loving families for homeless cats. All cats are fully vetted and fostered/socialized in loving homes before adoption. We have a 99%+

save rate. You can meet our cats at the Florence, KY Petsmart and Loveland/Symmes, OH Petco. You can read about our cats on Petfinder and Adopt A Pet. To reduce the free-roaming cat population, we actively participate in humane trap-neuter-return programs. At Crazy Cats, we use open communication and trust to match adoptable cats and kittens with devoted, forever homes and our inclusive approach welcomes a diverse community of adopters, which benefits both the cats and their new families.

Over the last several weeks we’ve done 6 adoptions !!

Trooper & Topaz were from a semi feral mom that was rescued by someone who reached out to us.

Druella was from part of a colony that someone had been TNR’ing in their neighborhood and when they came across a friendly we agreed to take and adopt out.

Haystack was a mom we rescued with her newborn babies from a pumpkin farm back in the fall

Rain was the poor girl that was left in a carrier in the pouring rain in a wooded area at one of our feeding locations.

Blue was let loose at the same feeding area that Rain was found and it took us several days to trap him because he was so scared.

We took in this sweet girl yesterday. Someone found her at a park and brought her to our vet office looking for someone to take her. She’ll get checked out, FIV/felv tested, vaccinated, microchipped and she has diarrhea we’ll need to deal with.

We trapped this little lady on Tuesday after we saw her from a distance at one of our feeding stations. Turns out she’s friendly. Poor girl has stomatitis and needs all of her remaining (there’s a lot missing already) teeth pulled. She’s a little older around 8-9. She had alot of mats in her fur. She was seen at our vet today for her exam, FIV/Felv test, and shave some of the mats. We’ve scheduled her dental and hopefully she’ll be feeling better soon !

Last week we asked for your help to trap, spay/neuter, and vaccinate 10 cats who were reproducing unchecked. Thank you, thank you for your generosity and love of cats. We trapped all ten (!), had them fixed, vaccinated, and returned to their safe surroundings in 48 hours. Here's a photo of them enjoying dinner together back home.

Over the last week or so we’ve done 5 adoptions !! We are so happy and excited to see all these kitties (AND EVEN A DOG 🐶) find their forever homes !

Chip was the puppy we took in after his family took him sledding and he broke his leg, they took him to an emergency vet and we’re going to euthanize him. One of our volunteers called from the vet and asked if we could take him and get him medically taken care of so we agreed

Sugar and Momo were trapped as kittens at one of our stray feeding spots and fostered for several months until socialized

Pip was found outside and started being fed by a nice woman who reached out to see if we would take him.

Bananas was originally adopted by a local shelter who doesn’t take returns of their cats (ridiculous 🙄) so when the owner was moving and couldn’t take her we said yes.

We spent the weekend helping someone we know who lives about 3 hours away with a large number of stray cats. Long story short, they had a stray cat show up and by the time they got her spayed she’d already had 10 kittens which was almost a year ago. Now they have 10 unfixed cats out there and unfortunately there aren’t a lot of resources in their area. We drove the 3 hours and trapped all 10 cats, brought them back and got them spayed & neutered on Saturday.

We couldn’t use local spay neuter clinics on the weekend, and we are so incredibly THANKFUL that our vet partner Dr Jaax at Jaax Veterinary Hospital agreed to come in on Saturday to spay and neuter all of the cats.

There were 6 females and 4 males. 2 of the females were pregnant and 1 was in heat, so this would’ve been a disaster had it not been taken care of now ! All of the cats received their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, were spayed/neutered and eartipped and will be taken back and released later today. All of their lives will be so much better now !

Gladys Knight chose Pip to be her back up. But Pip was busy living his life as more of a wandering minstrel. Some wonderful person cared enough about Pip to have him neutered and ear tipped so that he could live his life in peace but not make kittens. Thank you, caring person. But then the story gets even better. Pip found his way to Crazy Cats because the more he thought about being a backup, the more he really liked the idea of being a backup alarm clock in the morning, and a backup heating pad as a chair companion, and a backup decompress buddy for you at the end of the day. He’s just that perfect.

Come meet this perfect cat at the Florence, KY PetSmart, adopt this handsome fella, and give him a reason to sing at your house.

Over the last week or so we’ve done 4 adoptions, and they were all ADULTS !!! Super happy for everybody.

D’Wayne was adopted out as an adult a few years ago and recently surrendered to a local shelter who called us and we immediately picked him up !!!

Seraphina was rescued last Spring along with 10 other cats & kittens from a bad situation.

Man O War & Justify were adopted out as kittens several years ago and recently returned. Thankfully this couple wanted an adult bonded pair and we couldn’t be more thankful !!

Of course, we are also crazy about dogs!

Chip is an adorable pup that is ready to fit in with any family. He is good with kids, dogs, and cats. And he is VERY well behaved, crate trained and potty trained. So stinkin’ lovable. Because he is young and happy, your home will feel like his home in no time.

Chip lost his front left leg after a freakish accident before he came to Crazy Cats and was going to be euthanized at another vet. The family said the is amputation was too pricey .. over $1000. But, like we said, we love dogs and he is thriving in our foster care. Thriving!

Having three legs does not slow Chip down. He is very active and would love another dog or kids in the family for playtime. Chip doesn’t like to be alone for long periods, so having active people around and fun in his day is best.

If you are not attending the Crazy Cats and Dogs Wellness Clinic today, perhaps it is because you are looking for a new, fully-vetted furry companion for the family. Like Bananas!!

We named her Bananas because she is sweet, a little bit kitten crazy, and fun. She loves to play with squiggly string, toy mice, and bouncy ping pong balls. Her silliness is great entertainment for people and other fruity cats. So, we named Bananas for you, too ... you’ll go bananas when you meet her at the Florence, KY PetSmart and take her home.

Spring is in the air (🤞) and your dog will want to go on more walks, play at the park, and take car trips. It is time to update vaccines this Saturday!

And don't forget your precious cats need annual vaccines, too. ❤
