Loving this matchy match set. Made for a horse who will be toastie warm and dry with the rough weather coming (or already here depending on where in NZ you are).

Waterproof tube - to keep the horse dry and also assist in mane regrowth.
Anti rub vest so there’s no shoulder rubs as winter weight rugs put additional pressure into that area.
HP Mane and Tail serum to help regrow lost mane, caused by the wrong rugs.

Ironically it’s a mix of summer and winter horsey clothing - which seems like our clothing atm, one day its summer, the next its winter. List of goodies as follows. All sold but orders can be taken. Remember these are all made in Nz, so can be whipped up quickly.

Our Gateshead Equestrian web site will no longer be available from 1st April 2025.

Our web site started in 2008 and we will miss having it in our business life. Sadly the platforms our web site host use no longer support such an 'old' web site. It was going to cost an awful lot of money, plus huge person hours to build a new web site on the new platforms, it is a heart wrenching decision as having a web site is like having a long-term friend.

We were made aware of the change a year ago, so have been actively using the Gateshead FB page since that time.

UPDATED ANTI RUB VEST POST. There seems some confusion about the post put up last week about our anti rub vests (probably poor communication on my behalf ;-). We STILL have LINING for these, but our supplier has run out, so what we have in stock is 'it' until I can hopefully find more (which is always a bit of a task, as it's an old-fashioned fabric)

We literally search the world for the lining as that's the secret to why they work so well.

Anti rub vests. One of the most popular products we have made in over 20 years in business.

We have just reordered the lining which comes Ex- UK and the supplier has told us we have nearly cleaned them out and there is no more lining left after they dispatch this order to us.

As anyone who has used our rub vests over the years will know the lining is the secret to their success. It works and it lasts.

We make our rub vests in rug size - aka 3'6-5'9, and we recommend having them a roomy fit.

Show boots. And lots of them. These handy boots are fantastic for warming up at events, they don’t slip down and they are designed to keep the legs clean. Also handy as a stable/yard or beside the vehicle use. We don’t sell them as a protection boot but they have been used for that function in the past.

Polar fleece hoods. It seems like just yesterday we were making breeze hoods and tubes. As the nights cool and horses and ponies are either clipped out or their coats are starting to change comes the need for keeping them toastie and warm.

Shown below are 14.2hh and hack fleece hoods. One hack hood is also Sherpa lined for additional warmth. Some hoods are already sold, but some are still available, or we can take orders for fleece hoods and tubes.

Note: the fleece is a lovely heavy weight so wears well and keeps the horse super warm. Tubes and hoods can be made with 2,3 or 4 clips and elastics to attach to the rug.

Tail bags for Dying Tails. These assist in making that tricky job of dying your horses tail without getting dye everywhere. Attach the tail bag to the rug velcro, apply dye, attach the centre velcro together and walk away.

Features:
-2 x weights of plastic available. Lighter - more suited to ponies or fine tails and a heavier plastic for horses/thick tails.
-Double sided velcro at top features rough one side and smooth the other, so can be used on any brand of rug.
-Tab at top of centre velcro for easy opening
-nice width of velcro through centre ensures the velcro holds together in trying weather conditions - or horses who swish their tails a lot while the dye is setting.
-Available in all sizes.
