Just a heads up to all our clients that we will be closed this long weekend for ANZAC Day, as we take time to remember and honour those who served. We are CLOSED from Saturday the 25th of April to Monday the 27th of April and we will reopen resuming our normal hours (8am-6pm) on Tuesday the 28th of April.

As we reflect, it’s worth remembering the important role animals have played alongside humans in times of war and service. Horses carried soldiers across difficult terrain, dogs were trained to deliver messages, detect danger, and provide comfort, and even pigeons were used to carry critical information when other communication methods failed. These animals showed incredible bravery, loyalty, and resilience in the face of challenging situations.

Keeping your pets safe, warm, and comfortable while they are with us is always our top priority! This is why we’re excited to share that our clinic has upgraded to a new forced-air warming unit to support pets while they’re under anaesthetic. This was made possible with the help of a generous donation from one of our clients, in honour of their sweet girl Roxy (pictured here, RIP beautiful girl). This advanced technology gently circulates warm air through a specialised blanket, helping maintain a stable body temperature throughout procedures.

Why does this matter? When pets are under anaesthetic, they can lose body heat quickly. By keeping them warm, we help promote a smoother procedure, safer recovery, and better overall outcomes. We are always looking to improve our equipment and procedures in line with new research and industry standards, so this is just one more way we’re investing in the care and wellbeing of your furry family members.
