12 years ago we welcomed our first foal BBS Picasso (Peekay) the first pinto by Hilkens Denali. This week we welcomed her son Lost Art (Harry) For Jennifer McNeill. It seems a fitting way to announce the final chapter of Blue Blood's foaling and breeding services with this milestone- our first and last foal 💙❤️
We will be rounding off our dedicated breeding services at the end of this season and focusing our energy on Worm-Ed.
There are so many amazing stories, creations, achievements and awesome horses and humans we have helped to achieve breeding dreams. It is now time for me to focus on research and development that will ultimately benefit the next generation of foals. Kat and I will continue our important work together and we will still be here for regular updates. Next week I will update you all with this season's little miracles in a long overdue foal gallery. Such an over achiever of a sunset! 🌞 You can barely see our first mares of the season in the distance. What a welcome 😍 We have a selection of recipients arriving first up.... carrying very special embryo transfer babies for our clients. We are easing into foaling at the most leisurely pace this year! Looking forward to seeing our first baby soon! Good luck to all of you expecting foals this year 💙

What a wonderful conference has just wrapped up at Te Pae in Christchurch! We were privileged to have Dr James Crabtree in the Equine Reproduction stream. James is a director at Equine Reproductive Services UK and gave us lots of tips on the latest on ET, foaling management and breeding the problem mare.
