Top tips on how to keep your dogs cool!
Cooling mats
Cooling toys
Sprinklers
Paddling pools
AVOID walks
AVOID hot cars
Provide shade
Use a fan
Encourage rest
Provide additional water
Signs your dog is too hot:
Excessive/continued panting
Bright pink/red gums
Excessive drooling
Extreme lethargy
Severe cases: vomiting/ diarrhoea, collapse, seizures
Pavements can become too hot in the sun, burning the feet of pets walking on them.
Also, be aware that despite their fury coats, they can still get sunburn!
