Mobility problems in dogs aren’t always easy to spot, especially in the early stages. That's why we're pleased to recommend DogMA, a fantastic, free app developed by the University of Liverpool to help owners like you track their pet's mobility and spot early signs.

Today marks the official start of autumn and the moment when day and night are equal. This seasonal shift can affect your pet’s routine, energy levels, and outdoor habits in a number of ways!

For Your Dog 🐶
As the weather gets cooler, your dog might enjoy longer and more comfortable walks. While you’re out and about, keep a close eye out for seasonal hazards like mushrooms, antifreeze, and ticks, which can still be active.

For Your Cat 🐱

💖🐾 Supporting Our Own: A Story of Passion and Wildlife Conservation 🐾💖

We are incredibly proud to share a story about one of our former work experience students, Emily, who has gone on to do amazing things for wildlife in The Gambia!

After completing her work experience here at Newnham Court, she later qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Emily's passion for animal welfare led her to volunteer with the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust. This turned into a five-year placement, where she worked tirelessly to help animals in need.

Following the successful rehabilitation and release of a group of Red Patas monkeys, Emily and her colleague Eva, a veterinary nurse from The Netherlands, co-founded Dandeng Kulledeng - The Gambia Wildlife Foundation.

This fantastic charity is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, giving them a second chance at life in their natural habitat.
We are so inspired by their work and are honoured to have played a small part in Emily's journey.
