Firework season is looming closer and can be a bone of contention to many-a-pet-owner.

Does your pet love or hate the fireworks? You still have time to try and put some methods in place to make the period a little smoother for our furry companions.

- playing noises of fireworks to desensitise from the noise, increasing in volume in the weeks leading up to fireworks season
- creating a dark safe space for them to run and hide in for example a crate with their bed in and a blanket over the top - start ‘crate training’ them on the lead up with giving them a treat in their crate with the door open.
- supplements such as zylkene are available if they just need a little help getting by.
- medications such as Sileo directly helps with acute anxiety associated with noise.
