🎉🐾 WE'RE CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF DIAMOND DOGS! 🐾🎉

To celebrate 5 fantastic years of Diamond Dogs Grooming, we're giving one lucky customer the chance to WIN a FREE full grooming appointment for their dog! 🎁

🎟 HOW THE RAFFLE WORKS

Between 15th June and 3rd July 2026, eligible customers can enter by either:

• Commenting on this post asking to be entered, or• Requesting an entry during their grooming appointment.

Each eligible customer will receive ONE raffle number and one entry into the draw.

Physical raffle tickets are available from the salon by prior arrangement if you would like to collect your raffle number, but collection is not required. All eligible entries will be entered into the draw regardless.

🏆 WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

The winner will be selected at random and announced on 5th–6th July 2026.

📋 TERMS & CONDITIONS

• One raffle entry per customer.• Open to Diamond Dogs grooming customers only. To be eligible, your dog must have been groomed by Diamond Dogs at least once within the 12 months before 15th June 2026.• Entry is not automatic and must be requested either by commenting on this post or by asking during a grooming appointment between 15th June and 3rd July 2026.• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.• The prize consists of one free full grooming/haircut appointment for one dog belonging to the winning customer.• The prize applies to one dog only. 🐾 FLEA & TICK SEASON IS HERE! 🐾

As the weather warms up, fleas and ticks become much more active, so now is the perfect time to keep a close eye on your dog's coat and skin.

A quick reminder for all our lovely clients:

🐶 Even if your dog is regularly treated for fleas, it does NOT mean they can never get fleas.

Flea treatments are designed to kill fleas once they jump onto your dog and feed – they don't stop fleas from getting onto your dog in the first place. No dog is completely immune to fleas, no matter how well cared for they are.

🦟 Did you know?

• A single female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day• Fleas can jump up to 150 times their own body length• Fleas don't care how clean your dog or home is – any dog can pick them up• Your dog can pick up fleas from walks, parks, gardens, other animals, or even from wildlife passing through your garden

🔍 Common signs your dog may have fleas:

• Excessive scratching, biting or licking• Hair loss or sore patches• Small black specks in the coat (flea dirt)• Restlessness or increased irritation• Red or inflamed skin• Seeing actual fleas moving through the coat

Ticks can also be picked up in long grass, woodland areas, parks and fields, so it's always worth giving your dog a quick check after walks.

🚿 Before your grooming appointment

If you suspect your dog may have fleas or ticks, please let us know before your appointment starts.

This allows us to put the appropriate procedures in place to help protect the salon environment and any other dogs visiting the salon that day.

Please don't be embarrassed if your dog has picked up fleas – it can happen to absolutely any dog. We'd always rather know beforehand so we can manage the situation properly.

There seems to have been a few rumours going around recently that Diamond Dogs is closing down, so I just wanted to clear things up for everyone 🐾

Diamond Dogs is NOT closing, and we are absolutely still continuing with dog grooming.

From October onwards, the salon will be closing temporarily while I take some “puppy maternity leave” as we prepare to breed one of our girls. As we haven’t bred her yet, we don’t currently know exact timings, which means we can’t fairly offer appointments beyond October at the moment. Rather than booking clients in and potentially having to rearrange appointments later on, I’d rather avoid any confusion and keep everyone properly updated once we know more.

Some people have also noticed that we are no longer offering teeth cleaning and assumed this meant we were stopping grooming too — this isn’t the case at all. We’ve simply decided to step away from teeth cleaning so we can focus fully on grooming services.

As many of you already know, the last year has been a difficult one health-wise, so I’m making a few changes to help create a better balance moving forward while still continuing to do what I love ❤️

Thank you so much to all of our lovely clients for your continued support, patience and understanding — it really does mean the world. We’ll keep everyone updated once we are back open after puppy maternity leave, although at the moment this is a date we cannot yet specify 🐶✂️

Service Update 🐾

We will no longer be offering teeth cleaning as part of our services.

Any existing teeth cleaning appointments already scheduled will still go ahead as planned; however, we will not be taking any new bookings for this service. This decision is final, and we will not be making exceptions.

Our focus remains on providing the highest standard of grooming care for every dog.

💎 Diamond Dogs: Cloud, Comet & Cherry Take on Crufts! 🏆

Diamond Dogs is now officially closed until 10th March while me and the pooch crew — Cloud, Comet & Cherry — head off to get fluffed, pampered, and show-ready for Crufts! 🐶✨

During our time away, we’ll be busy brushing, preening, and practising our best struts — so no calls or messages will be answered. Please be patient with us while we chase our dreams (and maybe a few treats 😉).

We’ll be back, refreshed and ready to make your pups sparkle again from 10th March!

As some of you know, I’ve had a few health challenges over the past couple of months. I’ll be seeing a private specialist in the coming weeks, which may involve a few appointments.

This could occasionally mean short-notice changes to bookings, which is unfortunately out of my control. Please know I’ll always do my very best to rebook you as quickly as possible.

I want to reassure you that the care, comfort, and grooming quality for your dogs will always remain my top priority — I’ll only work when I can give every pup my full attention.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – 2026

There has been ongoing confusion regarding my availability this year, so this post is to clearly confirm my plans.

I am planning to take approximately 5–7 weeks off from October 2026 for puppy maternity leave. My dog is NOT currently pregnant; however, her breeding has had to be planned well in advance. This advance notice has been given to ensure clients are fully informed, are able to make alternative grooming arrangements elsewhere if needed during this period, and to allow me to arrange appointments around my time off with as little disruption to regular grooming routines as possible.

Please note that this time frame may still change slightly depending on breeding and birth dates.

All block bookings were arranged with this planned time off in mind.
Any appointments already issued on appointment cards remain valid up until that time.
Bookings have not yet been made beyond my expected return to work, in case of any complications during my time off. Once I have a confirmed return date, plenty of notice will be given so that rebooking can begin.

I am not taking time off before October, other than:
• Crufts in March
• A pre-booked holiday in May
• Occasional single/two days for dog show commitments

Thank you so much for another year of trust, cuddles, and beautifully groomed pups. I feel so lucky to spend my days with wagging tails, wet noses, and the best four-legged clients around! 💕✂️

Just a little paw-note to say that from January, there will be a £5–£8 price increase on all grooming and teeth cleaning services. This helps me keep using top-quality products and giving every dog the time, care, and love they deserve 🛁🐕
