Our love of dogs and desire to keep mum at home created the perfect business opportunity. Prices for grooming your dog are dependant on the breed and temperament. Please contact us and we will be happy to go through the details with you.

The hardest part of loving our dogs is always losing them.

At Hair O'The Dog we've felt the sense of loss too.

There is a short passage that we found helped us heal, and I'm sharing it with you all below.

It's a tribute to our Muffin :) 2014-2024

I see that you are crying, for it is my moment to leave, but please don’t cry! I need to explain a few things to you. Although you're sad because I’ve left please understand I’m happy because I met you!.
I understand my departure saddens you, but I had to go now, we dogs only have a short time on this planet and it’s all about finding the right humans. Please don’t blame yourself for anything. I’ve heard you sobbing, wondering what else you could have done for me. Without you I wouldn't have known anything of the beauty I carry with me today.
Our lives begin when we know love, the same love you gave me, my angel without wings and two legs. No more crying, please. I'm ok! I carry in my memory the name you gave me, the warmth of your house that in time became mine. I take the sound of your voice talking to me, even though I didn’t always understand what you were saying to me!
I carry in my heart every caress you gave me. Everything that you ever did for me made me the happy dog I always was and for this I thank you endlessly, I didn’t know how to tell you, because I don't speak your language, but surely in my eyes you could see my gratitude.
I'm just going to ask you for two favours. Wash your face and start smiling 😊
Remember how good we were together, and how my craziness cheered you up!
Re-visit, like me, all the good times we shared together..
Now I’m here and have crossed the beautiful Rainbow Bridge I will talk to other animals who are here with me, I will tell them everything you have done for me, and I will point and say proudly: “that's my family.”
Tonight, when you look at the sky and see a blinking star, I want you to know that it's me flashing an eye; letting you know that I arrived well and telling you "Thank you” for the love you gave me".
I say goodbye now not saying "goodbye", but "see you later.”
There is a special sky for people like you, the sky where we go and life rewards us by making us meet there.
