BELOW IS A STATEMENT FROM WINDSOR
I am sure all will agree this is the correct decision, indeed the only one possible.

We all wish the organisers the very best of luck. Everyone will I hope rally round, and may I suggest that a phone call from friends in their breeds to exhibitors in terriers and hounds who may not be on the internet or social media might be a good idea.

Some of us will recall the Richmond show which had to be condensed by one day owing to Diana’s funeral, and the South Wales show which was moved lock stock and barrel to Newbury. It can be done so please give the society every cooperation.

Anyway, the society’s statement follows:

The Royal Windsor Dog Show Important Update Regarding Thursday’s Show Schedule.

The Windsor Dog Show Committee wishes to inform all exhibitors, visitors, judges, officials, and trade stand holders that, following the forecasted severe weather warning for Thursday, the Committee has taken the difficult decision not to open the showground to exhibitors or visitors on Thursday.

The safety and welfare of everyone attending the event, along with the wellbeing of the dogs, must remain our highest priority. After careful consideration of the predicted conditions, we believe this is the most responsible course of action.

To accommodate the affected classes, the judging schedule has been revised as follows:
Terrier Group judging will now take place on Saturday.
Hound Group judging will now take place on Sunday.

In addition, on all remaining show days:
The showground will open at 6:30am.
Judging in all rings will commence at 8:00am.

We appreciate that this change may cause inconvenience and disappointment, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption to your plans. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenging circumstances and do our utmost to ensure the show can proceed safely and successfully.

We would like to thank all exhibitors, visitors, officials, volunteers, and supporters for their cooperation and continued support. Further updates will be communicated through the show’s official channels as necessary.
