‼️🚨 GRASS SEEDS 🚨‼️

Due to the current weather there has been a huge increase in grass seeds!

This last week alone I have removed 8 imbedded grass seeds in between toes/arm pits/ears, thankfully with no infections present.

Please check the key areas after every walk to prevent them burrowing into your dogs skin

🌾🐾 Grass Seed Season 🐾🌾

With the warmer weather comes grass seed season. While they may seem harmless, grass seeds can sometimes become trapped in your pet's paws, ears, eyes, nose or coat and cause discomfort.

We've put together a few signs to look out for, along with some tips to help keep your pet safe while enjoying their summer adventures. 🐕

If you have any concerns or think your pet may have picked up a grass seed, please don't hesitate to get in touch, we're always happy to help. 💚

🐾 POLICY REMINDER 🐾

I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the policies that are in place at Lincs Dog Spa and explain why they are so important for a small business like mine.

Unfortunately, this month alone I have lost over £250 due to no-shows and last-minute cancellations. When an appointment is missed or cancelled with little notice, I am often unable to fill that space, meaning that time and income are lost completely.

As a one-person business, every appointment slot is reserved specifically for your dog. When appointments are missed, it not only impacts my ability to run the business sustainably, but it also prevents other clients on the waiting list from accessing appointments that they may have needed.

I completely understand that unexpected situations can arise, and I always appreciate open communication. However, I simply cannot continue to absorb the financial impact of repeated no-shows and late cancellations. This is why the cancellation, rescheduling, late arrival, and collection policies are in place and will continue to be enforced consistently for all clients.

📌 A quick reminder:
• 48+ hours’ notice – no charge
• Less than 48 hours’ notice – 50% of the appointment cost
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows – 100% of the appointment cost
• Clients who have previously missed appointments may be required to pre-pay for future bookings

These policies are not designed to be unfair or punitive; they are there to protect the business and ensure appointment availability is managed fairly for everyone.

I truly value each and every one of my clients and their wonderful dogs, and I appreciate your understanding and support. ❤️

If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding any of the policies, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me directly. I’m always happy to discuss them.

Thank you for supporting a small local business and for helping me continue to provide the best possible service for your dogs. 🐶✨

🐾 Tick Check Time! 🐾

After every walk, adventure, or garden play session, take a few minutes to check your dog for ticks. These tiny pests can carry diseases and often hide in warm spots like:

• Around the ears
• Under the collar
• Between the toes
• Under the legs
• Around the tail

If you find a tick:
✔ Remove it carefully with a tick remover or fine tweezers
✔ Avoid squeezing it
✔ Clean the area afterwards
✔ Keep an eye on your dog for any unusual symptoms

Regular checks help keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and itch-free 🐶💚
