We provide a safe haven for over 600 rescued farm animals, including sheep, pigs, and horses. Farm animals are global. They are not endangered, exotic or wild. They are animals who are born and raised for their meat and milk, and throughout the world very often do this with a minimum of care. Care costs time and money, and they’re not considered to be worth either. They are just another product, a

lthough unlike other food products such as grains, fruits and vegetables, they bleed when they are injured. They die from fear and stress. They suffer distress when their young are taken away from them. They can be kept until they are too old to stand as long as they can still produce milk or offspring. They can then be travelled hundreds of miles, enduring awful conditions, to be slaughtered without pre-stunning. There are very few places throughout the world where farm animals can find sanctuary to be able to live out their lives in peace, to be treated with kindness and respect. We watch these animals become comfortable and confident. We see their characters develop. We admire their intelligence and the way they embrace their peaceful surroundings. We watch them begin to play and finally become content. They form close companionships and soon recognise the people who care for them and look after them. They ask for very little. For us it’s a pleasure and a privilege to be part of their daily lives. This is why we are here.

💚🌱We had a fantastic Sunday at The Farm Animal Sanctuary .
The festival was the best it has ever been with entertainment throughout the weekend plus a great range of food, and best of all, so many happy and well looked after animals who have been saved from a life you and I could not imagine (but we should at least try).🌱💚
We can't wait to see how big this thing gets. We'll be there next year.

Sorry to anyone who was unable to get our food. We sold out earlier than expected. We took 20% more stock than last year but it was all gone so fast. We'll bring more next time.

Look at our little boy Peter, he’s growing up so quickly! 😍
He’s now over a month old and getting stronger every day 🥰🐑❤️.
He’s now out in the paddock playing with the other lambs, and although he’s the smallest, everyone adores him ❤️.

Make sure to visit us this weekend to meet our lambs and other rescue animals 🫏🐑🐓🐷🐮🦙🐐🦃🐈🐴🦆 and be sure to say hi to Peter! 🥰🐑

Arrive and say good morning to the residents. Yoga in the field. Live music from late morning, doughnuts at noon, a talk after lunch.

Wood-fired pizza for tea, then a ceilidh as the sun goes down.

📝 Bringing the family to Freedom Fields this weekend? A few helpful things:

👟 It's a working farm, wear sensible shoes

🧴 Sun cream and water bottles recommended

🍔 Loads of vegan food and drink on site

🐕 We welcome dogs, but we kindly request that they remain on a lead.

♿ Access is good, we are a farm with fields and tracks. Currently, everything is quite dry (no mud). There are no steps to navigate.
