It is with great sadness and lots of tears that I report I lost my adorable, loving and so frickin cute cat Runty yesterday. She was diagnosed with a congenital heart issue in 2024 and had been doing well but things turned very suddenly for the worst. Thank you so much to Dr Janine at Larch Vet for your help, it was very appreciated. Runty is back with her sister Arrow who passed 3 years ago. RIP Oct 31 2013-Feb 7 2026.

**I will be closed December 20-January 4**

I wasn’t able to post earlier about the sad loss of Jane Goodall so I thought it would be a good time to remember as we wind down 2025. I was fortunate enough to see and hear her speak in 2023 and she was so inspiring and hopeful. I think we all need some hope and inspiration to treat everyone, including animals and ourselves with kindness and compassion and to try to be the change we want to see even if it’s small change, it all makes a positive difference. I wish you and your furry family a happy holiday season

Larch Veterinary Services (778-562-5455) will be available for house calls while I’m away, they are awesome and who I call for my cats. I’m excited to go to a conference and hopefully see all these animals and more in their wild environments

It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I bought The Visiting Vet, it seems like yesterday but also forever. Thank you to all the people that have helped me along the way, there are too many to list but please know I appreciate you and all of my amazing clients and patients. In honour of this milestone I have made a donation to Pro Carnivoros to help support the Maned Wolf- the tallest, very unique canine species that is threatened with extinction in South America

I definitely recommend Lisa Davies, she is super nice and is the only SPCA Animal Kind certified dog trainer in the North Okanagan, I’m sure these classes will be so much fun for you and your pup!

Build the bond with your dog by doing nosework or trick training!!! Your dog (and you!!) will love it!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to promote my friend and clients pet blanket business. I’ve been using her blankets and they are waterproof, cute and comfy. She is also going to be helping out an animal rescue with a portion of each blanket. She will be at Shoparama in Vernon this weekend or her contact details are in the picture
