River and Brooke are packed and ready for a better life. They are not interested in being touched but are comfortable around people. They are only used to a rural environment and have never been house cats. They are fixed etc. FREE to a good home. Please share with your country / rural friends. LOOKING FOR HOMES!
NARA recently rescued several cats from a property being demolished and burned; the extended family is used to humans but have never been handled. They are all Himalayan/Ragdoll types. They have all been health checked and spay/neutered. At the time of surgery all also had their left ear clipped by the veterinary surgeon. This identifies them as sterilised and owned cats – a life saver for skittish cats.
There is no adoption fee, but a donation is always appreciated.
The youngsters (4-5 months) are only available in pairs. The 2 older females (Rain and Cloud) could go together or separately.
Priority will be given to heated homes/tackrooms/basements/garages etc. They will need at least a months ‘transition time’ in a secure area, so they don’t just bolt and learn to trust their new people and environment.
They are all using litter boxes and will need access to ample fresh water and cat food.

NARA Adoptables! Meet our young cats and older kittens looking for homes. All have been spayed or neutered (or are scheduled this week!) We know little kittens are adorable, but they grow oh so fast, and this is a great way to rescue AND save on a vet bill. The cost to adopt cats spayed or neutered in care is only $150.

It has been brought to our attention that someone dropped off 3 bags of kitchen garbage at our bottle donation site on Kenney Street. Not bottles, cans or refundable containers, that we accept, actual garbage.
Hopefully it was an honest mistake but our volunteer there works tirelessly and this added to his already busy day.

Thank you to those of you who continue to support us by donating your "empties" to us, we can not do what we do for the animals without your help.

UPDATE: Adopted ♥️

Meredith has recovered from her spay and her kittens have all been adopted. It’s now time for this beautiful, friendly mama to find a home of her own! 🏠 🧡

Meredith is very affectionate and loves pets and attention, but like many cats, prefers not to be picked up and carried. She does great with other cats, and although cautious around dogs, she has adapted well to the dogs in her current foster home.

Mac update!! So many of you reached out to us, asking for help with this badly injured cat. He was miraculously lured into a cat carrier by someone who then called us…….
Fast forward 5 days and big surgery to repair the very large neck wound, he is coming along nicely, it’s going to be a long journey to full recovery for him.
He is very comfy in his cat condo, safe and cosy with as much food and treats as he wants.
He is booked for two weeks time to have his sutures removed and his neuter done.
We are so grateful to Dr Farkvam and his staff for their amazing care and to Tim and Skye for not giving up on him🥰
Finally the best news is that he has an approved adopter, who will take the best care of him and nurse him back to health after his next surgery. Geoff and Pascale thank you ☺️ 🥰
