I would like to introduce to you all our lovely Zeena, our warrior princess, born April 16th🩷🩷 She is very loved and probably the most dotted on puppy to ever exist 🩷🩷
I figured its time I posted about our long awaited litter and Zeenas arrival. It’s bitter sweet…. Rosie had her puppies on April 16th. As a breeder you go into it knowing variables can happen and you prepare the best you can for so many different possibilities. Her previous litter had a couple bumps and scares but we were prepared and it all worked out. This litter started out bumpy and it just did not improve even with our being prepared. What we hoped was a rough start, we thought evened out and was improving, only to turn around and get worse. In the end we had to do an emergency vet visit. We lost 3 out of 4 of our beautiful pups that day. The vet tried his hardest to revive our beautiful pups but it was not to be. Mama Rosie is perfectly fine and healthy. We have been told that what happened is a very unusual occurrence. I waited to post to ensure Zeena would survive as the first couple of weeks there can be many variables that happen which can also lead to puppies passing. But also because it’s a pretty emotional occurrence to talk about. We love our dogs and we are very invested in them, their health and safety, as well as the puppies we plan for and bring into this world. I am the breeder who will take back any of our puppies at any time or age for any reason. I only want what is best for our puppies and dogs long term. I put my heart into these dogs and babies and planning. It’s hard not to take such a loss personally or as a failing on my part 🩷 This stuff happens but it doesn’t make it easy to accept
