I realized it would be helpful to make a clear post outlining our cancellation and payment policies moving forward. 🖤🐾

At Dancing Raven Canine Services, I do my best to be flexible and accommodate everyone’s needs whenever possible. At the same time, my schedule is carefully planned in advance, and last-minute cancellations often leave spots that cannot be filled. Thank you for understanding and respecting the time, planning, and preparation that goes into caring for your pets.

💳 PAYMENT POLICY
• Prepayment is required for all house sitting, daycare, and boarding services at the time of booking.
• Bookings are not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

**Payment Plans are available at your request, we are happy to accommodate and make a plan that works for everyone. **

🏡 CANCELLATION POLICY
• A minimum of 5 days notice is required for cancellations in order to receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made with less than 5 days notice will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

We completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen, and we will always do our best to approach situations with compassion and flexibility when possible. We simply ask that clients communicate as early as possible and remain respectful of our time and scheduling commitments.

As we continue reopening and welcoming new clients to Dancing Raven Canine Services, we have been receiving a high volume of inquiries for daycare, boarding, and house sitting services. We are incredibly grateful for the support, interest, and trust being shown toward our business.

That said, we want to take a moment to clearly communicate some of our policies and expectations. These policies are in place to protect the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of every dog in our care, as well as our family, home environment, and other animals. While we understand that finding reliable pet care in our region can sometimes be challenging, our policies are non-negotiable and are enforced consistently for every client.

At Dancing Raven Canine Services:
FOR BOARDING & DAYCARE

• We do not accept unspayed females over 8 months of age
• We do not accept intact males over 12 months of age
• We do not accept unvaccinated dogs
• We do not accept dogs with any history of aggression or significant reactivity
• We do not accept dogs that are unsafe or disrespectful toward cats or other animals
• We do not accept dogs that are not unquestionably safe around children

In addition, all clients are required to:

• Complete our intake questionnaire and meet & greet process prior to approval
• Provide an emergency contact
• Provide veterinarian information with a clinic located within Terrace, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, or Smithers
• Sign liability waivers and care agreements before services begin
• Submit payment at the time of booking in order to secure care dates

These policies are not intended to exclude or offend anyone. Every policy exists for a very important reason. As a home-based care provider, I have a responsibility to maintain a safe, structured, and low-risk environment for the dogs in my care, my family, and my property.

I care deeply about the wellbeing of animals and genuinely love what I do. I take great pride in creating a safe, enriching, compassionate environment where dogs can thrive while their owners are away. In order to continue offering that level of care, boundaries and standards must remain firm and consistent.

I always aim to communicate respectfully and compassionately, and I truly appreciate the many wonderful clients who understand and support these expectations. We look forward to continuing to build positive relationships with responsible pet owners and their beloved fur babies. 🖤🐾

After spending the last three years focused on raising my kiddos and operating in a more limited capacity, I am so excited to officially announce that Dancing Raven Canine Services is back and fully devoted to serving the Terrace area once again!

For the past 7 years, I have had the privilege of caring for dogs through daycare, boarding, and house sitting services — but animal care has truly been my life’s work for my entire adult life. From dogs to horses and other large animals, providing intentional, compassionate care has always been something I am deeply passionate about.

At Dancing Raven Canine Services, your pets are cared for in a safe, comfortable, home-based environment with daily enrichment, safe socialization, and flexible care options tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I am also Canine & Equine First Aid trained and committed to creating a reliable, positive experience for both pets and owners.
