🚨Air Quality Advisory: Keep an Eye on the Sky & Protect Your Pets and Loved Ones!🚨
Wildfire smoke is expected to be present during the day.
🔥 Please monitor official sources like Environment Canada and your local AQHI to stay informed and safe.
In the meantime, here are some important reminders to protect yourself and your pets:
1️⃣ Keep Pets Indoors: Limit outdoor time and ensure they have a safe, smoke-free environment.
👉 For people: Take it easy—limit strenuous activities if the air feels heavy or you have trouble breathing.
2️⃣ Close Windows: Keep smoke out by sealing up your home.
👉 For people: Stay hydrated and check the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI). Everyone reacts differently to smoke.
3️⃣ Short Outdoor Breaks Only: If you need to take your pets out, keep it brief.
👉 Same for walks or outdoor workouts, wait until the air clears.
❤️ Pets and people with heart or lung conditions are especially vulnerable. If you or your animals show symptoms (coughing, trouble breathing, fatigue), reach out to your health care provider or vet.
