The last thing a pet owner wants is to spend New Year’s Eve searching for their lost pet.

Take steps to keep your pet safe while you celebrate:

- Noise from parties and fireworks can be scary for pets. Give them a safe, quiet space like a bedroom or bathroom, and turn on the TV or radio to mask the sound of fireworks

- Keep your pet secured away from the door to prevent them from slipping out when guests arrive and leave

- Keep food, alcohol and cannabis out of reach of your pets

- Make sure your pet is wearing a collar and tag and ensure their microchip information is up-to-date so you can be contacted quickly if they get lost

Mowgli is coming your way with a big, wet kiss!

Mowgli is a two-year-old Leonberger mix looking for his forever home! He’s big and full of love and energy, looking for a family who’s experienced with dogs his size and who can support him in his training (P.S. we’re offering complimentary private training classes to his new family!)

Mowgli is a social boy who loves to meet new people and make human friends wherever he goes. He would love tons of daily exercise and lots of space to run and play. He always wants to be an involved family member and thrives as the centre of attention.

He's much more comfortable being around people than he is around other animals, so he’s looking for a home where he will be the only pet.
