Happy “BARF”day to our sweet Bindi Meagan! 🐾

Poor little girl decided to celebrate her birthday by eating something she shouldn’t have… so instead of birthday cake, we had to induce vomiting! 🤢😂

Not exactly the birthday adventure we had planned, but thankfully our little birthday girl is doing okay!

⚠️ Pet parent PSA: If your pet eats something they shouldn’t—especially something potentially toxic—don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary clinic right away for guidance. Some toxins and swallowed objects can become much more dangerous with time, and do not induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional specifically tells you to.

Here’s to a much less eventful year ahead, Bindi!

👁️ Don’t overlook changes to your pet’s eyes — even a small eye lesion can be a sign of something more serious. 🐾

Sweet Oreo was suffering from severe, non-healing corneal ulcers and a thorough examination revealed the underlying cause: entropion.

Entropion is a condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the fur and eyelashes to constantly rub against the surface of the eye. In Oreo’s case, this ongoing irritation was preventing his cornea from healing properly and was leading to painful ulcers.

Thankfully, Dr. Jamael was able to correct the problem with surgery on Oreo’s lower eyelids. Once the source of the irritation was removed, his cornea was finally able to heal.

Oreo’s story is an important reminder that eye problems should never be ignored and be examined as soon as possible. Redness, squinting, discharge, cloudiness, ulcers, or any lesion on the eye can have an underlying cause that needs to be identified and treated.

We’re so happy to see Oreo on the road to having healthy, comfortable eyes again!

One of our favorite everyday moments? Watching our feline patients discover the photo of Dr. David’s cat hanging in the exam room.

The reactions are priceless. Some stare... some tilt their heads... and a few seem convinced there's another cat quietly supervising their appointment.

Sorry, friends, it isn't a surprise patient. Just a picture! But we're pretty sure they don't believe us. Haha! 🐾

One of today's appointment was 99% adorable and 1% betrayal!
This super cute Siamese kitten crew came in for their very first vaccines and responded with tiny meows, dramatic stares, and immediate forgiveness once the cuddles and snacks started. They're officially one step closer to a long, healthy, adventure-filled life!

After a recent accident left her with severe nerve damage, she became our newest member of the tripod club. To say she’s handling it well is an understatement, she hasn't missed a single beat and is navigating the world like a pro!

🌞🐾 Heat Awareness for Pets 🐾🌞

Hot weather, especially days like today, can be dangerous for our furry friends. As temperatures rise, remember to keep your pets cool with plenty of fresh water, shade, and by avoiding walks during the hottest parts of the day.

Looking for a fun way to help them beat the heat? Try these easy homemade frozen treats!

🧊 Frozen Pumpkin & Yogurt Bites
• 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
• ½ cup plain pumpkin purée
• A handful of blueberries (optional)

Mix the ingredients together, spoon into silicone molds or an ice cube tray, and freeze for 3–4 hours. Your pup will love this cool, refreshing snack!

You can also freeze seedless watermelon chunks, banana slices, or blueberries for simple, healthy treats.

⚠️ Reminder: Never give pets treats containing xylitol, chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, or macadamia nuts.
