❄️🐾 Cold weather might be here, but the ticks definitely didn’t get the memo!
Meet Hami, an adorable 8-year-old Siamese kitty who gave us all the heart-eyes. 😻

Hami is an indoor-only boy, but his doggie roommate accidentally brought a hitchhiking tick inside—proof that even indoor pets can be at risk! 🐶➡️🐱

We safely removed the tick and sent Hami home with medications to help his bite area heal. 💙
Just a reminder to check your pets regularly and keep them on their flea and tick preventatives, even in colder months.

Hami was SUCH a brave boy… and honestly, he might be one of the cutest patients ever. 🥹💕

**Edit: as there are a lot of comments, we just want to clarify that this is a joke and our DVM’s and RVT’s work closely together and discuss all sedation protocols as a unified team.

We absolutely LOVE our DVM’s…but maaybe leave the sedation magic to your tech squad? ❤️🤭✨

We will be closing early tonight at 8:00 PM. Our phone lines will remain open for triage and to book non-emergent appointments for tomorrow at 506-777-1235.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call Capital City Emergency Veterinary Hospital at 506-447-8387. They are located at 80 Bishop Drive.

We will reopen tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 28) at 12:00 PM.

Say hello to Max, our 7-month-old Boxer mix who came in for a visit as he was not feeling his best. 🐶💛 After a couple of injections, this sweet boy perked right up — and was soon munching on treats and ready to play!
Slow-mo video at the end for cuteness overload! 🥰🤩

We don’t get a lot of puppies and kittens in, so it’s always a treat for the team when we can take a quick “puppy-playtime break.” And Max definitely delivered! 😍🦴

We think he’s super cute… don’t you?!

Meet Bella, our brave 11-year-old Yorkie mix! 💛
After a little fall, this tough cookie ended up with a few broken bones in her foot — but she handled her X-rays and bandaging like an absolute superstar. ⭐️
To show off her strength, Bella proudly rocked a tough-girl skull and crossbones on her bandage! ☠️💪
