🐴 Rural Ropes Business Update 🐴
Hey everyone,
Just a quick update from me here at Rural Ropes. After some careful thought, I’ve decided to start winding down the horse side of the business—for now. As part of this change, I’ll be reducing and not restocking our 8mm ropes used for horse halters.

That said, horse-related gear made from our 12mm rope will still be available to order as usual, so no worries there!
If there’s a colourway in our 8mm range that you love or have had your eye on, please get in touch soon—once they’re gone, they’re gone.

As part of our ongoing effort to streamline inventory, we will be reducing the range of 12mm ropes we carry in stock.
If you're a regular user of our 12mm ropes, we recommend checking current colour availability and plan ahead for any upcoming events. Custom colour orders will still be available *minimum order quantities apply*

We’ve been contacted by an incredibly dedicated Ag teacher who is reaching into her own pocket to buy hackamores for her students because the school won’t provide funding for new gear.
These kids are the future of our industry — learning, growing, and building the skills that will keep agriculture strong for generations to come. But they need the right tools to get there.

Why don’t we make nosebands ourselves?

Simple – we just don’t have the space or funds to expand into leather gear (plus, let’s be honest, time is already tight!).

But we don’t mind at all. In fact, we love that it gives us the chance to support other small Aussie businesses who hand-make beautiful leather nosebands that pair perfectly with our rope gear.

At the end of the day, it’s all about quality, community, and keeping it handmade in Australia 🇦🇺🤝
