The boys had a bath and blow dry today ahead of their holiday in Chittering 🥰

Dearg and the boys will be separated while I’m away 🥺
Dearg is staying home with Chelsea, the cats, chickens, and of course a wonderful pet sitter. The boys are going to stay with one of my very good friends who is also a vet, so if anything happens with Tooshie and his p**ping situation, he’ll be in the best possible place 🥰

Now that I fly home to Ireland tomorrow, I kind of don’t want to go anymore because I’m going to miss them all so much.

I’m going to miss celebrating Tooshie’s gotcha day on 5th June and Percy finishing his treatment on 9th June 😭
But I’ll be back on 11th June, so I guess we can all celebrate together then ❤️

In the meantime, it’s going to be pretty quiet here on this page for the next 2 and a bit weeks. I’m going to be taking a well-earned break.

I’ll catch you all when I get back ☘️✈️🇮🇪

Day 64 of Percy’s treatment and he’s doing so well.

We took his bloods today to check how he’s going before I fly to Ireland on Monday. We’d normally wait until Day 84, but I will be away when that rolls around, so I just wanted to check them today to give me peace of mind before I go on holiday.

His latest blood results are looking amazing, and seeing the difference between his first bloods and now is so good!

One of the biggest things we monitor in FIP cats is their Albumin:Globulin ratio. When Percy was first diagnosed, his ratio was sitting around 0.26. His latest bloods put him at 1.58, which is incredibly reassuring and exactly what we were hoping to see.

His white blood cell count has also dropped from 40.98 down to 12.88, meaning the severe inflammation his body was fighting at the beginning of treatment is now dramatically improved.

We also used fear free methods for his blood test today… lots of treats and minimal restraint. Although I may have given him a few too many treats beforehand because by the time we actually took his blood, he seemed completely fed up with them. 😂

Like the video I posted last week, every single morning at 6:45am Percy comes running for his medication like it’s the highlight of his day.

We are still not completely in the clear yet, but he is tracking incredibly well and, with 20 treatment days left, I honestly cannot wait to get Percy into his observation period. 🩶

Just some of the rewarding things happening in my work life lately… ❤️🐾

⭐️ I performed my first feline castrations under new Veterinary Practice Board guidelines. 👌🏻
Don’t worry I used 🥜 for the photos 😂

⭐️ My little Percy Paddington Bear is currently winning his battle against Feline Infectious Peritonitis.

⭐️ My greatest veterinary success, Tooshie, recently celebrated his first birthday after defying every odds stacked against him from the day he was born.

⭐️ Just cuteness of matching one of my patients, Aurora, in lilac. 💜

⭐️ I helped B***y… another puppy born with atresia ani (no a**s) by fundraising so she could have the surgery she desperately needed, and then helping her through her recovery. Yesterday, she headed off to her new home. ❤️

⭐️ After being sent a photo back in February of a tiny kitten living on the streets with a severely damaged and infected eye, I was eventually able to get him into care. He underwent surgery to have the eye removed, and seeing him “thank me” the very next day brought me to tears.

⭐️ Turning feral street kittens into purring little burritos and helping them find loving homes. 🐱🌯

⭐️ A very nice thank you from a beautiful family after I stayed back on a Saturday shift so they could have all the time they needed to say goodbye to their best friend 🌈 🐾

Some days can be a little overwhelming and challenging at times… but these highlights remind me exactly why I wanted to be a vet nurse in the first place 🥹

Ant and Dec are still waiting for their forever home. I’m so sad these boys have been in care 4 weeks now and are still waiting 😭

Their brothers have already found a wonderful home, but these two gorgeous boys remain waiting hoping someone will give them the chance they deserve.

As time has gone on, it has become clear just how bonded these two are. They sleep together, play together and give each other confidence. Because of this, we would love to see them adopted as a pair.

These boys came off the streets only a few weeks ago. They were frightened and unsure, but they are slowly learning to trust and are blossoming more every day.

They just need a loving home where they can continue to grow in confidence and truly flourish.

To help them find that special home, we have reduced their adoption fee to $700 for both kittens.

This includes all of their veterinary work:
• Desexing
• Microchipping
• Two vaccinations each

They are incredibly adaptable and should settle well into most homes. They would likely do very well with another friendly cat to show them the world and, with the right introductions, may also enjoy a dog companion.

These babies have already overcome so much. Now all they need is someone willing to give them the love, patience and security they deserve.

Please send us a message me or contact Warwick Vet Hospital on 92431997 if you would like to meet Ant and Dec.

Please share this post so we can help these two best friends find the home where they can flourish… together. 🐾

Yesterday Miss B***y had her post-operative check with Dr Taka, and I am so incredibly happy to say that she has officially been given the all clear. 🎉

Her wound has healed beautifully and, apart from waiting for the remaining sutures to dissolve, she is now what Dr Taka described as a very normal puppy who p**ps and p*es exactly as she should. She even showed Dr Taka her ability by taking a p*e and p**p in his consult room 😂

After everything this tiny girl has been through… multiple surgeries, setbacks, and weeks of intensive nursing care, she is now healthy, happy, and ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

Today, B***y headed off to her foster home for the weekend.

And on Monday, she will begin a trial with a wonderful family who may become her forever home. 🏡❤️

Watching her leave today was emotional, but this is exactly what we have all been working towards. The goal was not just to save her life, but to give her the chance to live the life every puppy deserves, one filled with love, safety, and plenty of spoiling.

A massive thank you to Dr Taka Sugiyama and the incredible team at
This outcome simply would not have been possible without their skill, dedication, and willingness to take on such a complex case. They gave B***y the chance at a normal life, and I will be forever grateful.

And finally, thank you to every single person who donated, shared her story, and cheered her on.

Together, we saved this little dog’s life.

Because of all of you, B***y now has the bright future she always deserved. 🖤🐾

Oh B***y Girl 🖤🐾

As you can see… this little girl is definitely feeling much better. 😅

Her wound is healing really well, she is getting stronger every day, and her sassy little personality is now in full force. She has gone from being this tiny, fragile puppy that I was so worried about… to a confident little pocket rocket who thinks she runs the house.

And to be fair, she probably does. She’s bossing Dearg, Nuggy and Tooshie around non stop 😂

B***y has her post-op check with Dr Taka on Thursday. If he is happy with how everything is healing and gives her the all clear, she will move on to the next stage of her journey and head to her foster home.

Just to answer the messages I know are coming… no, B***y will not be staying with me permanently. 😅

Our house is already very full, and there is simply no room for another dog. The plan with B***y was always to get her through surgery, make sure she healed well, and then move her into foster care before finding her the perfect forever home.

If everything continues to go to plan, I’m hoping she will be available for adoption in the next few weeks.

🚫 Please do not send adoption enquiries just yet. B***y is not available for adoption at this stage. Once she has been cleared by the specialist and is ready to start looking for her forever home, I will make a separate post.

For now, we are just taking things one step at a time, but I couldn’t be happier with how far she has come.

From a very uncertain start to this cheeky, confident little girl… I am so incredibly proud of her. 🖤
