As a Centre of Excellence, our specialists are committed to employing evidence-based practice to ensure animals receive medical care comparable to that of human medicine. The Centre’s collaborative approach to care draws upon the extensive skills of its specialists within the areas of internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, oncology and behavioural medicine. The Centre also has Victoria’s only combined medical and surgical oncology team onsite, with full internal medicine support to address a range of conditions often associated with cancer. Staff at MVSC understand and value the bond between clients and their pets. We aim to always cater to the emotional needs of clients, while keeping in mind the medical needs of their pets. We aspire to provide the best care to help pets live healthier, happier lives. As referral medicine providers, we maintain a strong relationship between the client, patient, and referring veterinarian. We discuss the diagnostic and treatment options available with our client to enable them to make an informed choice regarding their pet’s treatment. MVSC is located in two central Melbourne locations to serve our clients better; Our main centre is in Glen Waverley, with specialist services also available at our Essendon Fields centre at Essendon Airport.

We are so excited to announce the renovations now underway at our Glen Waverley clinic!

New consult rooms, state of the art machinery, upgraded facilities, and more!

It’s business as usual here, these works will not impact our consults or opening hours.

At this stage, construction is scheduled to be completed by 2026.

Meet Winston, a 3yr old Australian Bulldog 🐶

Winston is a patient of our dermatology department, he sees our specialists for a rare autoimmune skin condition and a bacterial skin infection.

We look forward to seeing him and that squishy face back in clinic again soon! ❤️

Meet Lily! 🩷

Lily came to see our specialist surgeon Dr Sonya in late August for a BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) procedure and desexing.

Lily is a rescue dog with Victorian Dog Rescue, the love and generosity of them and Lily’s carer made it possible for us to perform this life changing procedure for her.

Both procedures were successful, Lily is now returning to her normal activities and breathing with much more ease!

Lily is still currently up for adoption! You can read her file and fill in an application form on the Victorian Dog Rescue website.

Initial consults for procedures such as BOAS are free until the end of September with our surgery department!
Arrange a referral with your regular vet and give us a call on 03 9887 8844 to book.

This initiative aims to remove the initial cost barrier, giving owners the opportunity to learn whether surgery may benefit their pet, understand potential costs, and discuss prognosis before committing to treatment.

Please note that a referral from your general veterinarian is still essential.
