🔥 It’s a little warm out today 🔥

These warmer days in spring can catch us off guard, Remember if you are feeling the heat, your pets are too!
Watch for signs of heat stroke and follow these tips to keep them cool this spring:

☀️ Hydration hydration hydration!! Give your pet access to lots of water
☀️ Plenty of shade, fans and AC
☀️ Walk pets early in the morning or late in the afternoon and be extra careful with brachycephalic breeds
☀️ Test the ground before walking anywhere, if it’s too hot for your feet, it’s too hot for your pets
☀️ Never leave pets in the car ❌ it can take less than 6 minutes for your pet to overheat in a hot car!

Give us a call at AEC Woolloongabba on (07) 34560500 if you have any questions or concerns about your pet.

🌼 R U OK? 🌼

At AEC, we know the veterinary profession can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with unique challenges. Long hours, emotional cases, and the pressure to always give your best can take a toll on mental health. 💛

This week, our team is wearing bright and funky scrubs to spread smiles and remind everyone that checking in with each other matters.

❤️Asking a simple “Are you OK?” can make a huge difference.
🖤Listening with compassion can help lighten someone’s load.
💛 Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Let’s stand together in support of veterinary mental health and encourage open, kind conversations—today and every day. 🐾

💬 To our colleagues, clients, and community—remember you’re never alone.

💛 R U OK? Day is a reminder to check in with the people who care for us - and our pets. 💛

This year, the Petbarn Foundation donated $35,000 to Sophie’s Legacy to support the vets, nurses and specialists who dedicate their lives to animals. Let’s all take a moment to pause, connect and make mental health a priority.
