The weather is warming up and Canberrans are beginning their yearly migration to the coast. 🌞🌊

This also means the start of 'tick season', and sadly we have already seen a few cases of tick paralysis. Tick paralysis can affect cats and dogs and can be deadly without intensive treatment.

Luckily prevention is easy - and we are currently running a promotion on Nexgard products to make sure your furry family members have a safe & happy coast trip as well! 🐶🐱

Please give our friendly reception team a call for more info ☎️

Thanks so much to everyone for your patience this morning. Power has now been restored at Gungahlin Veterinary Hospital.

We’ve rebooted our server and systems, and everything looks to be back online. Phones, computers, and records are all up and running again—which is great news for our team, our clients, and of course all the dogs, cats, and wildlife we’re caring for today.

We appreciate your understanding during the outage 💙🐾

Today is World Su***de Prevention day.

Today we honour the memories of those we’ve lost to su***de and to offer support to those facing difficult times.

It encourages us to start a conversation with someone by just asking “R U OK?” as we all have a role to play. It can be the first step in supporting someone who may be going through a difficult time and replace the silence and stigma for empathy, compassion and action.

Everyone is dealing with something and asking this simple, yet powerful question can make such a difference between someone feeling like they are alone or have someone in their corner.

Take the time today to ask someone R U OK?
