I don’t have enough words to express the gratitude I feel for the incredible team at Brudine Veterinary Hospital in Charnwood. From the very first moment, their warmth, compassion, and genuine care for animals was undeniable. My senior dog Cali recently needed a much-needed eye removal surgery — a daunting experience for any pet parent — but the Brudine team treated her with such kindness, respect, and love, it brought tears to my eyes.

They were gentle with her, patient with me, and explained every step with clarity and compassion. It was clear that Cali wasn’t just another patient — she was treated like family. The surgery went smoothly, and thanks to their expert care and incredible hearts, Cali is now recovering beautifully and with new comfort.

!! Confirmed Parvo alert !!

There has been a recently confirmed case of Canine Parvovirus (Parvo) in Canberra

Symptoms to look our for:
- Diarrhoea (possibly bloody)
- Loss of appetite
- Lethargy
- Vomiting

Your annual vaccine should cover Parvo but if you’re not sure, feel free to give us a call.

Please ensure your dogs vaccinations are up to date, especially if you’re unsure of their vaccine history or if you have a little puppy.

If your dog does start to show these signs, please seek veterinary care.
You may be asked to wait outside to avoid possible disease spread before we can properly diagnose.

🌟 Meet Winnie – Our Surgery Star of the Week! 🐶

Winnie, an adorable Dalmatian puppy, had a rough week after ingesting toxic blue-green algae. She was rushed to Canberra Vet Emergency, where an X-ray revealed something surprising, a foreign object inside her stomach.

She was referred to Brudine for surgery, and we're happy to report the procedure was a success. Winnie is now recovering well and back to her playful self! 🐾
