🐰 Mochi: NO. CUDDLES πŸ˜‘ Not even if you try n bribe me with treatos πŸ˜‘

🐰 Sesame: Waste not want not πŸ₯³
Featuring: Grumpy pom-pom Mochi 🀍 .and.her.gang Mochi was seeing Dr Mae for her vaccination and health check - and while that went smoothly, she was still incredibly grumpy that her afternoon nap was disturbed πŸ˜… Sesame on the other hand was very happy to say HI πŸ‘‹πŸΌ and gobbled down all the apology treatos Mochi rejected 🀣
Bachelor boy Yolky was of the opinion there was too much girl energy in the house, and also asked Aunty Mae to kindly leave his space πŸ˜…
Considering all three buns were in the middle of prime nap time - only having one out of three of them being happy to see Dr Mae is not a bad outcome at all πŸ˜…πŸ’™

Hoppy Saturday! πŸ₯³
Featuring: Sweet Honey 🍯 Honey was in clinic for her spey surgery, and she brought her darling husbun Snoopy along for emotional support πŸ₯° Watching him fuss over her while she was in recovery was so beautiful, they have such a strong bond πŸ’–
Hoppy Hint: Where possible, we always advise our clients to bring the bonded partner in when one of the pair needs a procedure done in clinic. The comfort and support they provide their partner is so important, and it also helps protect their bond from breaking down when you take them back home πŸ’™

Dr Mae has been seeing Peta since she was a baby in foster care with the and it was so nice to see Peta settled in her forever home!
Peta was seeing Dr Mae for her vaccination, health check, mani-pedi and groom πŸ’™

🐰: Aunty Mae, snuggle time is PRIVATE time! No photos allowed!
Featuring: Magestic Milk (white lop) and her loving husbun Oreo (uppy ears) πŸ€πŸ–€ Milk has VERY firm ideas about PDA, so despite being VERY in love with Oreo, Dr Mae was not allowed to take any photos of them cuddled up together being adorable πŸ˜… To get around Milk's restrictions, their mum sent us some sneaky photos of them attached at the hip enjoying a post-appointment snack πŸ₯° Oreo was seeing Dr Mae for his vaccination and health check πŸ’™

E. cuniculi (EC) is a common, microscopic parasite that affects the central nervous system, kidneys, and eyes of rabbits. It is often spread via urine, or directly between mother and babies. It can lead to severe neurological symptoms (e.g. head tilt, rolling, loss of balance, seizures, hind limb weakness or paralysis etc), kidney issues (increased thirst, urination, weight loss, reduced appetite), or eye issues (cataracts, or white spots within the eyes which can cause increased intraocular pressure) - all of which requires immediate veterinary care.
Treating EC when it has infected the brain in rabbits is difficult because the parasite forms a protected, long-term infection within the central nervous system, often causing irreversible damage. While medications can manage symptoms, there is no specific cure that reverses the damage once clinical signs (such as head tilt, rolling, or paralysis) appear. This is because these neurological symptoms are caused by severe inflammation and tissue destruction, which may not resolve even if the parasite's replication is halted by medication.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is an exciting new option to try when treating EC, as it helps deliver oxygen directly to the brain - for Maggie, this resulted in an almost immediate reduction in her neurological symptoms, allowing her to sit upright unsupported and eat by herself for the first time in two weeks!
While Maggie is not considered out of the woods yet, the HBOT treatments she has had through have given her independence back, and have also helped her be much more comfortable day to day πŸ’™

Hoppy Saturday! πŸ₯³
Featuring: Sir Fluffington - the most exquisite example of mini rexitude 😍 This gorgeous boy was having his gentleman's surgery (* cough cough * neuter) and all the Hoppy crew were OBSESSED at how tiny and perfect Sir Fluff was! Sir Fluff actually met his new bunmum that day, and he is now part of a very spoilt five-bunny fluffle! πŸ₯³πŸ’™

🐰🐰: Hiya Aunty Mae - we got a deal to propose. We give you lots of cuddles, and you don't jab-jab us? Good deal, yes?
Featuring: Gorgeous duo Winter and Eski 🀍🩢 These beautiful giant darlings were seeing Dr Mae for their vaccinations. While she was tempted to accept their offer, she did have to turn it down πŸ˜… While initially grumpy at this turn of events, Winter and Eski are too sweet to hold a grudge for long πŸ’™
