🐾 WELCOME TO HOPE, PANDY & BEARY! 🐾

Please help us welcome two of our newest (and tiniest!) additions to Hope Animal Rescue of Iowa — Pandy & Beary! 🐼🐻❤️

These adorable little nuggets are listed as Beagle/Dachshund mixes, but like so many rescue pups, their family tree is probably a little more complicated than that. 😂 What we do know is that they are small-breed mixes expected to stay under 20 lbs full grown — basically, perfectly fun-sized!

Pandy & Beary are settling into foster care, learning all about life inside a home, getting lots of love, and showing us their individual personalities more every day. And seriously… LOOK AT THOSE FACES. 🥹

🏡 IMPORTANT ADOPTION REQUIREMENT:
Because these babies are young puppies, Pandy & Beary will NOT be available for adoption outside of a 30-minute radius of Des Moines. Please keep this requirement in mind before applying.

We’ll be sharing more about these two as we get to know them, so keep an eye out for their pupdates! 🐾

Our sweet boy Dancer is officially ADOPTED! 🎉

Dancer’s journey hasn’t always been easy, but he never let that stop him from showing everyone just how much love he had to give. From learning new skills and building confidence to perfecting his snuggles, this handsome guy was simply waiting for the right people to see how special he truly is. 🥹

And now, he doesn’t have to wait anymore. ❤️

Congratulations, Dancer, on finding your furever family! We hope your next chapter is filled with adventures, cozy naps, endless toys, and all the love you deserve.

Our sweet mother-and-son duo, Clementine and Vader, have officially found their furever homes! 🏡🐾

These two came into Hope together, starting a brand-new chapter side by side. Clementine got to watch her boy grow, learn, and get ready for a family of his own—and now both mama AND son get their happily ever afters! 🥹❤️

We’re so excited to announce that every single pup from our Baseball Litter has found their furever family! 🏡❤️

From foster homes to forever homes, these four little all-stars have officially rounded the bases and made it HOME! 🥹❤️

🍪🐾 THE COOKIE LITTER HAS OFFICIALLY LEFT THE COOKIE JAR! 🐾🍪

It’s official — every member of our Cookie Litter has found their furever family! 🥹❤️

Sugar, Spritz, Macaron, and Biscotti are ALL ADOPTED! 🎉🏡 And we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter ending because their wonderful mama, Heidi, has found her furever home too!

From watching these little cookies grow, learn, and develop their own personalities to seeing each one head off with a family of their very own, this is what rescue is all about. ❤️

And after raising her babies and getting them ready for their next chapters, Mama Heidi finally gets her turn to be the baby. No more mom duties — just cozy beds, belly rubs, adventures, and a lifetime of being spoiled! 🥹🐾

A HUGE thank you to the fosters, volunteers, supporters, and adopters who helped make this happy ending possible. It truly takes a village to get an entire little family from rescue to HOME.

Remember our goofy boy who wanted everyone to know that the kiddie pool was his jam? Well, Todd has an even bigger update to share…

HE FOUND HIS FUREVER FAMILY! 🎉❤️

From splashing around in his pool, playing chase with his foster siblings, and keeping everyone entertained with that big personality of his, Todd has been stealing hearts from the beginning. Now he has officially stolen the hearts of a family who gets to call him theirs forever. 🥹

Judging by that smile, we think Todd knows he hit the jackpot! ❤️🐶

Thank you to everyone who shared his posts, followed his journey, supported his care, and helped him get to this moment. And a HUGE congratulations to Todd and his new family—we hope your future is filled with endless adventures, lots of snuggles, and, of course, plenty of splash-pad days! 💦🐾

Clementine has officially added “shop girl” to her résumé! 🐾💜

She stopped by Just Paws Gourmet at Merle Hay Mall to visit her friend Jen and, naturally, decided she belonged behind the counter. 😂 We’re pretty sure Clementine was ready to start greeting customers, handing out treats, and collecting her paycheck in snacks!

A HUGE thank you to Jen and Just Paws Gourmet & Gifts for always being so welcoming and supportive of Hope Animal Rescue of Iowa. ❤️ They also graciously host our monthly Hope Meet & Greet on the SECOND SATURDAY of every month from 12–2 PM!

It’s the perfect chance to stop in, meet some of our adorable adoptable pups, chat with our volunteers, and maybe even meet your new best friend. 🐶🏡 And while you’re there, be sure to check out all the goodies Just Paws has to offer!

💦 TODD WOULD LIKE TO ISSUE AN IMPORTANT UPDATE 💦

We know we just posted Todd yesterday, but apparently we left out a VERY important detail… and Todd asked us to correct the record. 😂

🎶 Splish splash, I was takin’ a bath… 🎶

Todd would like everyone to know that he LOVES his splash pad! He’s not quite sure he’s ready for the deep end yet, but the kiddie pool? That’s his JAM. 💦🐶

This goofy boy loves playing chase around the fenced yard with his foster siblings, and once he’s worn himself out, you’ll find him cooling down on the deck with his foster mom — doggie style, of course. 😎🐾

Basically, Todd’s dream home checklist is looking pretty simple:

✔️ People to love
✔️ Room to play
✔️ Maybe a doggie sibling to chase
✔️ And PLEASE don’t forget his kiddie pool. 😂💙

Todd is still looking for his forever family… preferably one that understands splash pads are a necessity, not a luxury. 😉

Todd is currently a 4.5-months old, 28 lb. American English Coonhound mix on his momma's side. We do not know who daddy is. He will likely grow to be a medium sized, 40-60 pounds. Todd has the cutest "freckles" you've ever seen! He loves to play with his foster siblings, especially outside where he can play chase around the bushes. Todd loves squeaky toys, but he can make anything a toy really. He loves to stay busy and has quite enjoyed his splash pool this summer. Todd is a very friendly boy and just soaks up attention from anyone offering pets. He is doing well with house training, but as with all puppies needs a consistent schedule to stay accident free. He has his kennel training down and sleeps in it during the night. He has some leash experience and does pretty good for his age. He is pretty snuggly once he has worked off some energy and enjoys a late morning snuggle in his foster momma's bed. Todd would be a great companion for someone that loves to hike and is physically active. He has not been around young children much or met any cats, but we expect he would do fine with slow introductions and guidance. We do not feel Tood would be a good fit for an apartment as he would benefit from a yard to play in, a fence would be a plus.
