Cavies and Canines Animal Rescue We are a 501c3 nonprofit and PACFA-licensed guinea pig rescue and sanctuary in Colorado. We take back our guinea pigs at any time, no questions asked.

We have fosters and adoptable guinea pigs throughout NOCO/Denver metro/Colorado Springs. Our goal is twofold – to provide homeless pets with loving homes and provide judgement-free advice to well-intentioned human family members to facilitate a happily ever after. We find that guinea pigs are commonly incorrectly perceived as “starter pets” for kiddos, and given up or abandoned when it becomes cle

ar that they can be higher maintenance, more expensive, or more fragile than expected. We’re ready to start scheduling volunteers for the following shifts in Wellington:

Sept 2, 6 pm: prepare 25 temp enclosures and assemble foster kits
Sept 3, overnight shift: Unload piggies, feed, refresh carriers for 5 am departure
Sept 4: Foster pickups (full)
Sept 5: Seeking clean up crew to make it look like nothing ever happened
Sept 6: Transport help needed from Colorado Springs - Fort Collins
