🚨Last Call For Sign Ups!🚨

Monster Dog Training and The Dog Wizard are hosting a Jay Jack seminar this weekend 5/15-5/17!

The first two days 5/15 + 5/16 will be a play based dog training seminar (which we do still have audit spots available for!) but i wanted to highlight the single day Defensive Handling seminar on Sunday 5/17 from 9a-5p! Tickets for the single day seminar are $175!

Single Day Defensive Handling: Learn essential skills to handle and/or protect yourself and your dog from reactive or aggressive dogs safely and effectively. This session covers key defensive techniques to maintain control and confidence in challenging situations, ensuring the safety of both you and your dog.

These skills can be used in dog parks, your neighborhood, hiking trails, natural areas, or parks, if you encounter an unfriendly dog. Those who work with dogs in daycares, veterinarian offices, grooming salons, etc can benefit from learning these skills and teaching your coworkers!

What You'll Learn:

- Critical techniques for staying safe while working with reactive or aggressive dogs.
- How to recognize early warning signs of stress or escalation in dogs.
- Tools and strategies to maintain control and de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Step-by-step guidance on handling unexpected challenges while keeping yourself and others safe.

TRAINING CLUB DAYS!🤘🤩

These drop in style sessions are for students who need to get out and work in public on real world issues with the support and eyes of a trainer.

This is a mixed level class with a club-like environment of support where you come and train the way you might train on your own but with the added advantage of supportive classmates and a trainer to act as a spotter to provide feedback on handling and next steps, as well as to create appropriate challenges to support your goals.

These classes do not provide the same 1-1 attention that a lesson would, you need to come prepared to work individually with your dog and have training goals in mind depending on how your walks and sessions at home have been going!

Owners and their dogs can work on passing drills, recalls, settling with a camping chair or place bed and just watching the world go by, if you’re ready to challenge obedience in the face of other dogs you could absolutely work on that as well, impulse control games with toys, etc!

Registration is required to attend! Link is in our bio or login to the client portal via the website to register!

Novelty + Socialization 4 Week Class! 1/9-1/30 5:45p

Join us for a class all about helping our dogs prepare for the new, novel, and unfamiliar moments in life. This class will guide you through building a communication system to get you through the novel/new and scary stuff, the odd and unfamiliar things, and the skills and strategies for vet visits as well as daily grooming and handling needs in life.

Topics:
👋🐾Socialization Strategies - when, how, and why
✂️🛁 Grooming and Handling - creating cooperative behaviors and human skills to make regular maintenance easy
👻🫣Novelty - building skills to prepare for random and potentially scary situations
🏥🐕Vet Care - preparing for veterinary visits and emergency situations

Each week we will practice engaging with novel sights, sounds, and situations that might be concerning to dogs and work through how to handle those situations. We will also spend a portion of class on greeting and being handled by strangers. Last but not least, we will teach you how to condition your dog to care needs you may have, like handling feet, mouth, and ears, as well as grooming and nail care strategies.

Register for class via the client portal on our website www.monsterdogtrainingcolorado.com
