Are you aware of the signs that indicate your furry friend is overheated? Tongue is longer then becomes wider, under arms and belly very warm….time to get them cooled down.
Their feet can burn on the hot pavement however the pads burn internally, not visibly seen by us.

Keeping them hydrated is imperative!

The Acres tip of the day *many pups love watermelon on a hot day!

🚨 PET SMOKE ALARMS – LIFE-SAVING TECH FOR OUR FURRY FAMILY 🚨

My heart is still heavy after a fire at my brother’s home (many years ago) caused by a knocked-over candle. They lost beloved dogs 💔 — others survived, one with serious burns. Sweet Ricky endured major surgeries for the burns on his face. Incredibly, a bed skirt helped shield him just enough to survive.

This tragic accident reminded me: fire safety doesn’t just mean protecting people — our pets depend on us too.

That’s why I want to raise awareness about pet-specific smoke detectors. Yes, they exist — and they could save lives. Some were designed by firefighters who saw too many pet losses during house fires.

🐾 These devices can:
• Detect smoke like a standard alarm
• Send alerts to your phone when you’re not home
• Even trigger automatic pet doors or alert emergency services

Pets can’t dial 911. They can’t escape on their own. But we can take one extra step to protect them.

Please take a moment to check your home’s fire safety setup — especially if you’re a candle lover or have pets who roam while you’re away.
