Lil Roar Cat Rescue (LRCR) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit cat rescue organization located in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area. LRCR’s primary missions are to 1) spay and neuter community (feral) cats 2) find “forever” homes through our foster care program for adoptable stray cats and kittens found 3) educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering all cats to address the cat overpopulat

ion problem in our area. When young kittens are caught during our trapping projects, our fosters socialize them so they can be put up for adoption once they are vetted and at a minimum 8-10 weeks of age. These tame cats enter our adoption program, are vetted, and once deemed healthy, begin the search for their forever homes. Meet Odie 🐱

Odie is a 4-month-old kitten with a sweet heart and a little bit of shy charm. He was found as a stray, but you would never guess it once he feels safe. When he warms up, Odie turns into a total snuggle bug with a playful, goofy kitten side that is impossible not to smile at.

He can be a bit jumpy at first, but give him a little patience, and he settles in quickly. Odie enjoys cuddles, playful moments, and quietly building confidence each day. He has been doing great with other cats and even a dog, slowly learning that the world is a pretty good place.

Odie is everything people love about kittens. Curious, loving, playful, and full of charm. He is just waiting for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and spoiled as he deserves.

Meet Nudge 🐾

Nudge is a 3-month-old kitten who is as sweet as they come. He is playful, affectionate, and absolutely loves spending his time wrestling and playing with his brother Newton. If there is fun happening nearby, Nudge is already in the middle of it.

This little guy gets along well with kids, small dogs, and other cats. He is confident, curious, and happy to be part of the action. Nudge would love to go home with his brother, his mama, or another kitten so he always has a buddy to play with and learn from.

As we head into a brand new year, we are so grateful for every foster, adopter, volunteer, donor, and supporter who stood by us this past year. Every saved life, every second chance, every happy ending happened because of you.

The new year means new goals, new challenges, and so many more cats who will need help. We are ready to keep showing up, keep fighting for them, and keep believing that every cat deserves safety, care, and love.

Oreo is a 1-year-old black-and-white charmer with a bold personality and extreme opinions. He is playful, energetic, and absolutely convinced that b***y scratches are one of life’s greatest joys. Wave a fishing pole toy near him, and you will instantly have his full attention.

When the house gets quiet, especially in the middle of the night, Oreo may bless you with a performance of the song of his people. Isabella is an 8.5-year-old senior girl who is pure love wrapped in gray fur. She is incredibly sweet, super cuddly, and thrives on being close to her people. She loves kids and happily sleeps with them every night, soaking up all the affection she can get.

She is very vocal and will absolutely chat with you throughout the day, especially if it involves fresh water from her fountain or her favorite digestive care food. Isabella does well with calm dogs, cats, and kids, but what she truly needs is a peaceful home.

A quiet household with older adults would likely suit her best. Somewhere calm where she can relax, cuddle, and enjoy her golden years without a lot of noise or chaos.

Meet Giovanni ’25 🧡

Giovanni is a 4-year-old classic orange boy with a heart that is somehow bigger than he is. He truly believes personal space is optional and that wherever you go, he should probably be there too. If you are walking, he is nearby. If you stop, he is right at your feet. If you sit down, he is ready for snuggles.

This guy lives for companionship. Giovanni wants to be as close to his person as possible and thrives on attention, affection, and reassurance. He loves pets, loves being talked to, and loves knowing he is your favorite. He can get a little jealous when attention is divided, so he would be happiest as the star of the show or with someone who understands his need to feel extra special.

Meet Rocket 🚀

Rocket is a playful, curious kitten who is about 7 months old. She is the most rambunctious of the Rocket Power crew and the first one to investigate a new toy, sound, or anything exciting happening around her.

She has experienced many changes in a short time, moving between fosters and stores so that she can be a little shy at first. Even so, Rocket truly loves attention. She enjoys being held, adores chin scritches, and will absolutely win you over for a squeeze-up treat. With a bit of patience, she will be an incredible cuddle buddy.

Rocket would do best in a home with another cat to keep her company and help burn off that kitten energy while you are busy. She is affectionate, playful, and ready to settle into a home where she can finally stay.

Meet Yuca ’25 🐱

Yuca is a 3-year-old sweetheart who has mastered the art of being your favorite sidekick. Reading, watching TV, scrolling on your phone, or doing absolutely nothing, he is happy to be right there next to you, making it better.

He is the kind of cat who fits. Calm, affectionate, and easy to love. Yuca does not need constant entertainment or chaos. He just wants closeness, warmth, and a snuggle buddy who enjoys a good snuggle. If you have ever wished your couch came with a built-in cat, this might be your sign.

🐾 Foster needed for Mistletoe

Mistletoe is an 8-year-old adult girl who really deserves a soft place to land. She has been through a lot, bounced from shelter to shelter, and still came out the other side sweet, friendly, and full of love.

She is a chunky little lap cat who loves people, enjoys other cats, and will happily reward you with purrs and air biscuits. Her size does not slow her down either; she still enjoys playtime and attention.

Mistletoe is declawed, so she must be indoor-only and needs a softer litter that is gentle on her paws. Because of that, she would do best in a calm foster home where she can relax and feel safe. Due to the extra roundness, she will also need to be on a diet versus being free-fed.

She is good with kids, okay with cats, and wants someone to sit with her and let her be close; no chaos, no expectations, just comfort.

If you can open your home to Mistletoe, even temporarily, you would be giving her exactly what she needs right now. A quiet space, a warm lap, and a chance to finally rest.
